Not as serious an issue as many on here. Only 11 orders this year.

But, without it I'd be screwed.

Last week I'd forgotten to get the Star Wars Last Jedi movie for my sons birthday on Friday. Prime fixed that at 10pm for next day delivery.

And even worse than that, I'd let our wedding anniversary sneak up without buying anything. Gifts arrived the day before, without Amazon it would have been a smile and some flowers from Morrisons.....

However, my wife is addicted to multiple sites, usually 3 parcels a day arriving. Misguided, Boohoo, Asos, Jojo Maman Bebe, bloody Luis Vuitton, all in addition to loads from Amazon.

Not as bad as I expected, 18 in 2018 so far and 67 in 2017.

Striking thing is that they tend to come in flurries of five or so orders then a few weeks break. It's that temptation of 'while I am on the site...'

Other striking thing is just how much is baby related!

If you post "this was free" you'll soon wave bye bye to your account. I've refused to give fake reviews and told people to make their product better if they want 5 stars!

I got a free odb -> 5v thing for a dashcam and as is it was good but I ripped it apart and put it on a bench power supply. The item was way better than it claimed with low voltage protection and a fair bit more. Another one I gave it 1star and slagged it off with proof their low voltage protection didn't work and it was rubbish.

41 orders so far this year! Doesn't help working at Amazon if anything it makes you spend more.

I find Amazon Prime very useful and might have been known to buy one or two items occasionally just because I'm bored (or pissed)

Another interesting site is: https://www.fakespot.com/

Find your '5-Star' intended purchase on Amazon, copy the link then paste it into FakeSpot...

Allegedly pretty good to work for, unless you're working picking orders in the warehouses, or driving a van.

You find them good to work for?

I work for a logistics company that does a lot with Amazon in America and the UK. There was even a rumour in the press about 6 months ago that Amazon were going to try and buy us. Nothing came of it though.

Lighting Cable
Amazon Lightning dock
Beats earphones
Beats remote cable
Rock Tape active-recovery tape
Keyboard and mouse
Various cables (4 orders!)
LED security lights
Snow foam
Hose connector
Karcher adapter
Car drying towel
WiFi dongle
In car magnetic mount thing

51 orders in 2018
112 in 2017

This is a joke, I'm going to stop now.
Plus one more this morning - shaver foils, here for tomorrow

I enjoy working for them; I work in the devices team based in the head office.
I have visited a few FCs (warehouses) they are impressive but I couldn't work in one.

Head office in London has to be more attractive than an industrial estate in Daventry.....

I'm around those sort of numbers too - approx 200 per year. In my defence some of that is household consumable stuff - dishwasher powder / bog roll / kleenex / batteries...

The rest is all LED Lensers

Keep the orders coming guys as I sometimes do a few blocks of amazon flex on an evening or weekend. It's only 13-15 quid an hour but if you hit lucky, you can sit playing 8 ball pool for 2 hours and sent home without delivering anything (prime now - stock from local warehouse and delivered within a few hours - mainly foodstuff/loads of bogroll). Other times, if I got free days I can take blocks from Amazon logistics which is the prime/standard delivery type and come from the central warehouse. You normally get a route to do within 4 hours for a minimum of 52 pounds. I've managed to complete sometimes in 30 minutes, but usually takes 2 to 2.5 hours for 40 to 45 packets.

It's really delivery for dummies as the gps is foolproof and if you divide the payment by hours, you can easily get 20 pounds per hour.

I sometimes drive the F30 for prime now as it's 3 or 4 packets doing 3 or 4 drops over 40 miles, but wouldn't use it for logistics as the 40 packets might have a area radius of 3 miles so a lot of stop/start and wear and tear.

Thank you all for supporting my sideline which will help acquire a 330d.

Great to know I am not alone, hello fellow addicts

154 in 2015 (when I signed up to prime)
203 in 2016
210 in 2017
70 so far in 2018

vs
32 in 2014
14 in 2013

surely can't attribute the spurt to just prime, I guess around 2015 is when we moved more towards online ?
