Daft question but......

I have a 520d M Sport Business being delivered tomorrow as a hire car until my 330 comes in November. Will the Y cable for the 3 work in the 5, both are Business Nav?

As part of the new deal I'm getting the cable FOC so was planning on asking the dealer if I can have the cable now.

You can use the apple cable in the 5.

That'll be a result then, thanks. I'll give that a go.

You can't use the Apple cable in the 5 if it's an LCI model with Business nav. If it's pre-lci it will have the combox meaning you can just use the standard apple cable.

Thats an interesting move by BMW.. Why did they do that? I bought a non-LCI in April knowing full well the LCI was coming out but the deal was too good to leave based on the changes my salesman told was happening to exterior (which were correct).

They changed all the Specs in July, they removed Enhanced Bluetooth as standard from the 5 series, and made it an optional extra.

They also removed it from the Professional media package, so now you have to select it as an optional extra if you want to stream music from your phone. However if you do have the Professional Navigation you do get the Combox to allow you to use the white apple cable. Business Nav does not. Complicated!
