How to Flash EGS module with file normally for a different car?

I want to flash my EGS with SWFL 00000aa0 from an F06 640i to my F11 535i to get around the low torque limit in 3rd and 6th not present on the 640i calibration and also I suspect shifts are better and more suited for a tuned engine. I've already checked that TCU and hardware are the same.

What is the safest way to flash this with E-Sys and what is the likelihood of needing to code anything afterwards? Can I back up the coding prior to flashing for if I return to the 535i calibration down the track?
