Bimmer Code & MY2018
Hi All,
I plan to do some coding this weekend but before I start does anyone know if Bimmer Code can read/write on a 2018 [March] 320i Shadow Edition or am I going to brick it because something cannot be coded? I’m looking at the following:
Thanks

Yes, you can do all of them with BimmerCode, except one: "Change the triple blinker to 5" - this is no more codable.
And of course some depends on car equipment, like "Tire Temperature" need TPMS. |

Front Electronic Module > Expert Mode > 3060 LceMaster > Blinkzyklen_anzahl_tipp > Custom Value... > Byte 0 = 0x04 That worked on my 2014, maybe it doesn't work on newer cars, but might be worth double checking. |

Ok so had my car coded this morning with the Bimmer Code app and Vgate Bluetooth dongle and all went without a hitch and was done and dusted in 15 mins.
Here is what could be coded......
The only things missing was changing the one touch blinkers from 3 to 5 and keeping the fog lights on with high beam which I believe is due to me having High Beam Assist but no big deal anyway. To be extra safe my phone was deleted from the car, the car Bluetooth switched off and Airplane Mode enabled...might be overkill but not taking any chances lol |

Really ? This is doable on my bone stock 2015 428i, the option for 3 or 5 blinkers is in the idrive menu from the factory, it was available before I bimmercode it.

Yep it’s not available via the standard coding as they changed the software and iDrive software from 2017 onwards....I’m sure it can be done maybe at a deeper level into the ECU but I’m not that bothered to be honest

Noone has yet found a way to code more than 3 blinkers on the newer F3x unfortunately. The old coding does not work, as the firmware/software has fundamentally changed, as mentioned already.

I am not sure I need the first one, but why not. Does the second one look good?

Here is a little video I took the other day of my Welcome Lights now...the 2 options are Soft and Hard...I believe the Soft option means they gradually illuminate. |
