methanol on pwg stock turbo stage 2
how much gains can be had by adding meth to my FBO setup? i am 365 wheel 420 torque on a heart breaker dyno at the moment.

depends on if you tune for it or not, how much meth you spray and how aggressive your tuner is.

Somewhere around 30-35hp with custom tune is what I’ve been told by meth installer.

what is the recommened meth kit? for eventual pure stage 2 aem or snow?
will meth clean intake valves? |

get the XDI-65 fuelpump and run full e85 and call it a day.
Yes its expensive, but its much less of a hassle then going through PI, upgraded LPFP's, meth etc |

Waste of time on stock pwg turbo. Your car will have a ton of torque but max hp will be around 5000rpm. Awesome for burnouts and drifting, but not a sensible way to go fast.

The AEM controller is progressive and integrated the boost solenoid and pressure switch into the controller, so install is easier.
Any fuel sprayed into the intake system instead of direct injection into the cylinder will help clean the valves. Quote:

i got the stage 2 snow performance kit. comes with vc 50 controller. saw others have great results with this kit.
next weds i am getting the evolution racewerks anodized black turbo to intercooler pipe installed. then meth kit and tune. then ps2. |

T_H_O_M_A_S has a point but if you want to go meth first you can run it without a tune. That's how I'm running it.

I purchased the snow stage 2 meth kit bundle with the vc 50 controller.
I am yet to install it unfortunately. I did just install my evolution racewerks anodized black turbo to intercooler pipe. I will install meth kit before I get ps2. I am basically waiting to see what deals are going on black Friday and saving my money. If I make a purchase on black Friday etc (exhaust, pure stage 2,) then I will run to install my meth kit. my tuner said that I wouldn't gain much with meth kit on stock turbo so I didn't jump on getting it installed right away. they recommend aem meth kit. but I went with snow cause I saw someone put up big hp numbers with the vc 50 controller. I have the xdi 35 hpfp and I am tuned so there isn't much more power to be had with the stock turbo. hopefully I can grab a pure stage 2 turbo on black Friday good luck all  |

It's a bit of a hodgepodge as I bought it used from a fellow forum members. I have the AEM controller and tank, SP pump and nozzle, Aquamist solenoid with an inline filter. I really like the AEM controller. I had a track day this past weekend and running meth really helped my HPFP keep up on the Stage 2 E30 bm3 tune. Previously my HPFP would crash but on the latest map revision and spraying a bit of meth I had no HPFP issues.
