I need an advice for my BMW 320i f30

I am looking to make great power out of this little n20 engine, I know that the 335 is better and faster and that the 328 is much more better than my car. All I want to know is an honest opinion on how my build List looks like and what should I add to it and erase. I'm planing on making the fastest 320i in the state of South Carolina thank you

You can make it plenty fast off just a jb4, catless downpipe, and intercooler. If you want it to be faster it's going to get riskier. I would try the parts I just mentioned first and maybe meth and intake (if you like the sound). The meth may help because you need to be careful with heat. Make sure your ignition timing can handle even the stock turbo with the jb4. If you're running more than map 5 on the 320i be careful and make sure you're ignition timing can handle it. With the exception of map 5, you will be pushing fixed boost and can damage your engine. I recommend meth, ethonal, or 93+ octane if you plan on venturing beyond map 5.

Would be interesting to get all your power bolt on mods set up with a pure turbo, then do a proper ECU tune. Might be safer that way. You may need forged internals as well.

Start jb4 map 5 with DP and FMIC. Datalog some 3rd gear pulls and see if you think you can push it further. How hot is it where you live?

Good luck!

Save your money and just do JB4 and you'll be fine. The intake won't do much more than make noise and louder blow-off turbo sounds (might net you 5HP...maybe). All that other stuff you are listing sounds like overkill to me but hey, your car, whatever. JB4 will make it quicker than a stock 328. I ran stage 1 and nothing else on my 320i for 3 years and it was totally reliable and really transformed the car. I wouldn't last a day in a stock 320i. Well thats not true - I had it for 5 days before I tuned it.

Underbody light kit? Really? That's pretty ricey/ghetto for a BMW. Why not just get a 328i or 340i instead of blowing all that cash on a 320i? Just a tune would be worth it - all the rest of that expensive stuff doesn't make sense for that model.

Quite honestly I wouldn't be comfortable doing this to a 320i. Several internal components of the 320i are not as robust as they are in the 328i. If I had the plans you have I'd want to do it to a 328i.

Well I can get the internals of a 328 easy but the main thing is doing it on my 320

Tbh it's just a thing that I want to do, no one has done a 320i like I want to, yeah you can buy a 335 and rock 345h to the wheel stock but I want to build the car to be as fast as it can be and the underbody lights are not ghetto tbh they look pretty damn nice if they're white

Im confused about the different colors ... Are they supposed to mean anything?

If they are linked to stages i dont understand why you would want to do charge pipe last

how many BMWs do you see with under-body lights. Now how many Civics, Eclipse, ... do you see with under-body lights?

I also have a 320i. The only things I plan on doing to it performance-wise is get a Dinan Stage 1 tune, change the air intake, and change the charge pipe. I may also replace the turbo with a Dinan turbo and get whatever necessary parts to support the new turbo.
