How can we do that in F30; when turn on high beams, fog lights are on like a below video

Do this:

MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_FUNCTION = 05 (High Beam)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_OUTPUT = 0B (Fog Lamp L)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_PWM_LEVEL_STANDARD = 89 (13.7V)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_FIXED_PWM = 00 (pwm)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_PRIORITY = 03 (bottom priority)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_FUNCTION = 05 (High Beam)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_OUTPUT = 0C (Fog Lamp R)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_PWM_LEVEL_STANDARD = 89 (13.7V)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_FIXED_PWM = 00 (pwm)
MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_PRIORITY = 03 (bottom priority)
So does this just flash the fogs or does it change anything else? I want to have my front fog flash because nobody sees the headlights flash during the day!

Hey oranga, what if all i want is to be able to active the fogs with the fog switch whether i have the DRL of lowbeams? have you found a way to do this?

No, I didn't look into that for myself, but that's a good question. I'm not an expert on coding, but I don't think you can code that behavior, at least not by changing the light mapping - which is the extent of my coding knowledge.

Maybe someone with more expertise could chime in.

There could also be a wiring solution, depending on how adventurous you are. In one of my old cars, the fog light switch would only work if the lowbeams were on, so I bypassed it and could turn the fogs on/off regardless of situation.

So I coded the fog light switch to be operational when the selector is in parking lights! Fogs + angel eyes

Using BimmerCode :

Front Electronic Module > EXPERT MODE > 3060 LceMaster > NSW_EIN_AUF_LDS_STL > Select "aktiv"

Kinda old topic but ima try, maybe some 1 can help me. Replaced normal halogens to led ones and did some coding. No results, leds are not working,, even no turning on.
F30 LCI

Did coding this way:

Fog light lamp- bulb -> led
Fog light Cold monitoring: Not Active
Fog light Warm monitoring: Not Active

and in expert mode:

FEM_BODY

3061 NSW_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv : LED Foglights front right
3061 NSW_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv : LED Foglights front right
3061 NSW_R_IS_LED -> aktiv : LED Foglights front right
3062 MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100% : LED Foglights front right
3061 NSW_R_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ -> dimmed : LED Foglights front right
3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100% : LED Foglights front right

3061 NSW_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv : LED Foglights front left
3061 NSW_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv : LED Foglights front left
3061 NSW_L_IS_LED -> aktiv : LED Foglights front left
3061 NSW_L_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ -> dimmed : LED Foglights front left
3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100% : LED Foglights front left
3062 MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100% : LED Foglights front left

3062 MAPPING_abbiegel_L_output -> nsw_l : Foglight when turning
3062 Mapping_abbiegel_R_output -> nsw_r : Foglight when turning
3073 KL_ENABLE_RE -> KL_Ein : Foglight when turning
3066 KL_ENABLE_LI -> KL_Ein : Foglight when turning
3073 C_CLC_ENA -> enable : Foglight when turning
3073 C_BLC_ENA -> enable : Foglight when turning

3063 Mapping Nevelschw L Part of WL soft-on nicht_aktiv : Foglight left as welcome
3063 Mapping Nevelschw R Part of WL soft-on nicht_aktiv : Foglight right as welcome

Any ideas?

I do not know where your problem is coming from but i would try to code all back to standard and then try again.
If the lamps after that still do not work they are probably broken.

If automatically come on when small lights.

FEM_BODY 3062 LceLampMapping2
MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_L_FUNCTION = 01
MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_R_FUNCTION = 01

However, Foglight switch is disabled.
Set values to =01 for R and L, works great. Fogs come on auto with headlamps set to 'auto'.

Down side; it is not indicated on the dash that they are on.

Thanks for your contribution to the post

This works really well. Fogs are auto on w/ low beams. However, switch does not work. No problem. Nor, does the fog light symbol appear on the instrument panel. Also, no problem!

FEM_BODY 3062 LceLampMapping2
MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_L_FUNCTION = 03
MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_R_FUNCTION = 03

Mine were set to 08. Just changed to 03.

You can code the fog light switch to work (I don't remember the specific coding off hand). Also, there is no front fog light indicator in the F8X cluster like in the F3X clusters. If you look at the right angle, you can see all of the indicators in the cluster and there is no front fog light one (you can also further confirm it if you do a cluster lamp test).

My f30 does have a fog lamp indicator. It just doesn't light up now after coding the fogs on with dim headlights.

and this is the same for mini F56 01/2016. I have tested with bimmercode for serial FXX and inpa , ncsexpert for serial EXX .

Does anyone know the coding for this? It would be greatly appreciated.
I have searched but it's such a specific thing that I haven't had much luck.

This thread has been a great help in customizing the functionality of my fog lights and how I want them to work with the other lights, but having the switch still be functional would be the cherry on top!

FYI, I'm mapping my fogs to come on automatically with low beams (so werte value of 03 from that list on page 1)

Your post is a bit unclear, to me, but here's the link to modify the switch to work: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=877278

Thank you but I meant something else, which I obviously didn't communicate clearly.

As others in this thread have done, I have coded my front foglights to come on when I turn on my headlights (low beams), however, coding this makes the physical fog switch not work anymore.

So when I saw what jmciver wrote about there being a way to code the switch to still work after coding the fog lights to come on with the low beams, I figured I'd revive this and ask how, in case anyone else knew.
