FCP Euro Shipping Logic

So is anyone having issues with their shipping? Just need to order some basic maintenance items, but their shipping pricing/dates makes no sense!

It does make sense for sure they are giving themselves a day or two to get the item out or one of your items isn't in stock and will be on the 3rd.

I get that, but it's basically 2 weeks on the free delivery, and on the "Next Day Delivery", it's not really next day, more like 4 days lol

I think they’re just covering themselves for issues in the postal system. Online sales globally are up and postal staffing is down. Lately, even if done perfectly by the merchant, next day doesn’t always end up being next day.

Good news is, their delivery estimates are very conservative, so packages very often end up getting to your door ahead of their promised time.

This. It's the same for a BMW dealership that doesn't have a part in stock. It's a 2-3 day wait to get it from BMW.

I always select free delivery and it gets to me within 2-3 days regardless.

I have ordered numerous times from FCP and my items always arrive early despite the ETA. I think they don't want to over promise delivery date as that might lead to issues.

As an example, I ordered 19 items (Oil, Trans, Rear fluid changes, rotor/pads, strut, shocks and supporting pieces) on the 25th and free delivery with an expected delivery date of 3/4 June. Guess what showed up on the 2nd- 2 very large boxes with all my "presents" inside. They have been on time or early every time for me.

I’m also pleased to report a very conservative shipping estimate...

Ordered maintenance stuff Friday 5/28, shipped Saturday 5/29 with an estimated arrival 6/8 - 6/10 with the free shipping option. Arrived instead today, Thursday 6/3! Even after a whole day missed due to Memorial Day. Can’t beat free three day shipping.

What was the outcome? Assume FCP sent the “your order has shipped” email with tracking number by now.
