Tail light tinting

Not a fan of blacked out tail lights, but I know even a light tinting is like marmite to some.
Went ahead with a light smoke tint to take out some of the red and quite happy with it. They claim it's mot friendly, but I realise it might be trouble if rear-ended.

Anyway, keeping it on for now until hopefully getting them "oled" lights

Right tinted, left normal:

Nice and subtle, I think the problem with tinting is when people go full on black and you can barely see the lights

i think those are too subtle (atleast from the pictures) for the effort!

When the F32 first came out the one thing i hated was the yellow rear indicators... If you could just red those (and not darken the whole lens) i think it would look a lot better.

I asked thoughts on here not so long ago, about the very same level of tail tints. It's subtle so looks good IMO. Without the tints, it can look a bit too orange in the sun. I take it you aren't planning to get the gts tail lights any time soon?

I am definitely still planning on getting the gts tail lights, but I will wait for some feedback first.
The tint was only £50 and done locally in about 30 mins

I had the same done a couple years back with a light tint on both the head lights and tail lights, I think it looks alot more suited to the car without looking ridiculously dark

I quite like that, is that a film or a spray?

Are you happy to state where about you had this done (feel free to PM if you don't / can't name where publicly).

It's film - tried a spray myself, but gave it a matte look and didn't really take out the red colour.

Thanks for your post. I'm wondering about doing the same.
-Are you still happy with the product, meaning is it durable (so far)?
-Did you do it yourself, or professionally installed?
-Would you mind sharing the product used? is it same kind of film used for windows?
Thanks again.

It's holding up just fine so no regrets. Done professionally so not sure which film they used. I just picked a medium smoke rather than blacked out.
