Diff Whine Noise F30 LCI !

Hello everyone. I have just bought a 330i F30 (still called 328i in the US and some other places). I have 18k kms right now. I totally love it and I already haad an E90 330i as well. But very recently it started making a whine sound. It really sounds like a differential whine. How does a 2016 car have that sound already? I did not go to the dealership yet and tbh I'm kind of scared that they tell me it's fine or it's a common issue as I've read some threads on e90post yhay says this. Also on my old e90 it never use to make that sound it almost has 180k kms. Anyone who had any similar issue can please help me? Thank you.

How can you tell the difference between a diff while and tranmission whine? (I'm curious because I have a slight whine - usually exacerbated by harder acceleration or acceleration out of a turn).

On speeds of 80km/h and above, the whine starts as I accelerate. I'm not sure tbh how to tell which one is which but most of the time you can feel it.

Are you talking about the wind noise? Over the mirror? That is my guess. Open the window and if the whistling gets louder you know what's up

Have you figured out the cause of the whine? I'm having the same noise around 100kph + whenever I slightly press the accelerator.
