Interim Oil Change.

Ordered an oil filter kit for my 330d, cant believe how small the filter is!
My previous VW had a massive filter.
What oil are people using? And how much will I require?
Thanks

I just use any LL04 approved oil I can get hold of when it's on offer. Whether it's from supermarkets or motorfactors it's all very similar. 330d should be 6.5litres I believe.

Thanks guys
Gonna go with Castrol edge 5w30m
BMW approved, not cheap, but I aim to keep my car.
I've also read some horror stories on here of people taking cars to a dealer for service work, which turns out not to have been done.
Last oil service was in August. Dropped the car off at 9, went to the town thinking they would be a few hours. 9:45 ring and tell me it's done.
Oil, filter and micro filter.
Does this sound like a reasonable amount of time? Or was I just lucky?

It’s do-able in 30-45 mins if they got it on the ramp straight away and cracked on.

Likely one guy doing the engine oil and filter and another doing the micro filter.

I thought there was a bunch of checks they do as part of the process though, like the standard scope to plug in a computer and check for errors as well as the walk round of the car to check brakes and tyres etc.
