Yes S55 plugs are used in M2 N55 - can't go wrong to use M2 oem plugs (RB ZMR5TPP330) in your N55 motor, BMW part # 12120039634 come pre-gapped - PnP.

Thanks, I'm getting those. Seem that those plugs are used on M models and 50i models. Dont see M2 listed here but it could be cuz they haven't updated the website.

I would be hard pressed to believe you will blow your shit up on anything stage one or two car using stock heat range gapped to .2~. From what I remember what you end up doing is keeping the spark from blowing out at the higher psi the modded cars have. Spark timing is still held by the ECU and doesn't change from plug to plug.

Going to a true one step colder, which is the M car plugs, would help prevent possible detonation and last slightly longer. If your running a larger turbo then yes go with the 1-2 step colder plug without question.

Huge thanks, been following this thread as getting bigger turbo/IC installed in a few weeks. Thx again.

I think it's interesting NGK's website implies they don't offer a plug for my 2014 335i.

Ouch! $25 for a spark plug?? Why not just get Bosch OEM plugs and gap them yourself to .022 for half the price?

I can concur that .20 is best for highly tuned vehicles. I tried .22 and it improved the quality and smoothness of acceleration under heavy load. Tapped my crappy Bosch plugs on crappy gas down to .20 and it ran better than it ever has. Fully convinced .20 is the answer for those pushing 18-19psi and higher on what ever plug.

Trying the N20 plus today.

M2/3/4 plugs were really bad on my N55 gapped between .020-.024, so gave up. Maybe plugs were bad, but all cyclinders misfired under boost. And the plugs were purple/red, clearly I need colder.

Are you saying they some plugs were gapped
.20 and other plugs were gapped .24 or are you saying you've tried all of those ranges on the plugs uniformly? Also are you running Delphi ignition coils?

To clarify, M2/3/4 plugs,
All 6 gapped at .020" and all cyclinder misfired code on stage 2 BM3 and stock
All gapped to .022" and misfired on stock
All gapped to .024" and misfired on stock

On NGK/N20 plugs (2 colder than stock),
All stock gap at .028" and no misfire on stock or stage 2 BM3 (target 16psi as reference point).

I may gap down to .020" but wanted to start with stock initially and get some runs in...No misfires.

I just ordered the NGK 97506 2-Step Colder Spark Plug from burger, i'm having misfires going into 4/5/6 under full throttle. At first I thought it may be a transmission problem but then i remembered this happening in my last car, same feeling. Hopefully this is the fix.
