F36 LCI Taillights fitted

Finally got the LCI lights last week and fitted this weekend , I fitted and coded myself which I am really happy about as saved £200 for labour

To fit lights full tailgate wire has to be replaced with LCI one which was ballache to replace but after both index fingers and middles fingers scrapped and bleed then loom came out , took me 4 hours to fit lights and put all trims back to the car and 20mins coding with BimmerCode app which I used for first time.

Darth Helmut was big help gave me all the coding and supplied lights as well vey good price

Also fitted dual gloss black grills which also supplied by Darth Helmut .

You have that looking really nice - even better than your F30.

I still think black, when it's clean is one of the best colours.

That looks fantastic, OP! Really smart... I've been considering the black grilles too - were they a pain in the ar*e to fit as well?

Thanks mate

Grills are bit pain to remove but it’s well worth in the end even with nearly all your fingers bruised and cut

What a beast! Best looking example of an F36 I've seen. If the option was still there to nominate front page I would!

hey bud, do you mind helping me understand how you run the wires from the taillights
back to the REM module?

maybe simply taking a few pics of the tailgate area to show me what's needed to be taken off and any tips to avoid breaking the pieces?

thanks in advance

If you take all trims off and look at current wire loom and take loads of pictures from taillights to the module , new loom will be going in exactly same place as old one .

it is very simple and easy just need to be patient and don't pull anything plug if doesn't need to

You will have better understanding after you taken trims off and look at the current wire loom.
