Car Shakes Slightly After Spark Plugs

I have a 2016 BMW 340i xDrive & I recently changed the spark plugs & coil packs. The spark plugs are NGK gapped at .22 & Bosch coil packs.

Now the car shakes ever so slightly when on idling. Is it because I may not have gapped the spark plugs correctly? Or something else?

Likely so. Isn't the correct gap .030?

Misfiring maybe cause of gap.

I don't have any codes or check engine, do you think I should recheck the spark plugs? Gonna be a pain

I encounter the same thing after changing to those plugs also. Reason as to why I will be going back to oem champion (what my car came with) spark plugs.

Damn seriously? That seems like a waste of time & money sadly. I did some research at it seemed like NGK would be fine, guess not. That sucks

Happens to me too and never found the issue (year and a half now). I get no codes and the car runs normally when driving, so I just didn't bother. Same setup btw, NGK at .22

If you're tuned post a log. You could have damaged a plug when gapping, there's no reason to reduce the gap for most people.

Two potential downsides of narrow gap plugs from what i understand is a potential shaky idle and worse fuel economy.

Can help with timing on logs however so if logs are clean that would be my main concern.

I went with the same gap and have the same shaky idle, I'm thinking I should have gone with .24-.26 since it bothers me.

Was just having the same chat with another forum Member and we were both about to put plugs in. I’m Considering pulling back out to 0.025 before install now hopefully that will give the benefits without drawbacks.
