Ebay front lip installed on F30 M-Sport
I was looking for a cheap front lip for my F30 with M sport. I am not a huge fan of the BMW performance lip. I was looking for something cheap just in case I bang it up, I will not feel so bad. I found a cheap Ebay front lip from Ikon Motorsports. I was also looking for something simple and clean looking.
This lip actually worked out very well. I was a bit weary due to the price. But the thing actually fit perfect. I would give it an A in fitment. There are no holes drilled in the lip and they give you some self tapping screws. So what I did was. Under the car on each side removed the factory push clips and screws that hold the side undershields on (not the main large one) the ones under the fogs. Lined the lip up and drilled holes in the lip and used the factory hardware to hold it in. In the center I used double sided tape and the self tapping screws(there is no factory hardware to use in this location) so the center did not sag. It fit perfect. The lip was a bit warped from the box so I let it sit in the sun for a bit and it flattened out perfect. I left it unpainted but am very happy with how it turned out. |

That looks great - I would rock rock this thing all day. It would not last long around here tho. Stupid coilovers Still might give it a shot, price is decent.
How thick is it - how much lower does it hang from the bumper? Looks kinda chunky in the pics - in a good way, although not good for clearance |

The car is lowered on H&R sports. From the ground to the bottom of the lip is 5" |

Here are a few pics from the front lip install. Overall it was really easy to put on but it does not come with any pre-drilled holes. I used the two existing bolts holding on the bellypan on either side along with all of the self tapping screws included in the kit. I'm happy with it overall as it matches my spoilers and side skirts.
