Idk if it's an nbt or not but it can b coded with esys if so. I'm not familiar with the coding apps sorry. Check out the f30 coding cheat sheet.

Tried the bimmercode app and no luck. On demo mode the option is there to change but when connected to the car there is no option. Perhaps i need to update my firmware somehow?

Okay so tried today with E-sys and it didn’t work. My headunit is 100% NBT but maybe it has old firmware before the pop up display was released. Is there any program i can use to update the firmware or will a dealership have to do this?

For anyone who has the same problem i got my dealer to update the firmware and it now works perfectly.
