How to keep 19" Orbit Grey Wheels Clean?

Hello Guys,

I've got a 2015 435i with 19" orbit grey wheels. I can wash the car on saturday and by sunday with limited driving they are covered in grime. I know alot of it is brake dust. I'm wondering if there is a coating similar to rainx for rims to keep them cleaner longer and make them easier to clean.

I use this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It doesn't stop dust from collecting on the rims but it makes getting the dust off much easier, usually with just a rinse.

On the subject of Rain-X, this works much better:

When you do the wheels clean them and then let them dry overnight. Apply the Wipe New when you can let the car sit for a few hours minimum to set, and not if there's rain in the day's forecast unless you're garaged. Aquapel takes a lot of elbow grease and paper towels to wipe streak free, but it lasts at least six months, so it's worth the effort.

For the long term, you could consider coating the wheels with something like Kamikaze Stance wheel coat.

For the short term and something a little easier to apply, you could spray Bead Maker on the wheels after you wash them.

Both of these solutions enable easier cleaning of the wheel.

If most of the grime is brake dust you can consider different pads. The following is a great article on the different types of brakes and pads available for the F30 ...

beadmaker will be annihilated immediately. its forte is not durability even on paint. just slickness and gloss.

i've tried sonax pns on wheels with very good results. ultimately like mentioned a proper coating is your best solution.

Other options would be:

Switch your brake pads to a low dust compound. I have and the difference is remarkable.

Apply a sealant to your wheels. Poor boys do a good one but needs re-applying regularly. G-Techniq C5 is amazing and only needs doing once per year.

Neither will stop the dust from sticking to your wheels, but will make them a helluva lot easier to clean.

I've had good results with Griot's heavy duty.

I bought this Blackfire product and it works really well. I also clean my wheels with Adams Wheel Cleaner (not the new eco-friendly formula, the one that has an off-putting smell is the one to use). Brake dust comes off very easily.
