can you post a pic of the bit you broke so can verify, but you should be able to get spares from dealer. I had similar issue as the two connections to FEM A6 A7 in my car where emtpy so ended up buying two new pins with tails in order to plug the cable into the connector.

realoem lists all the spares and pins but most part departments shoudl be abel to help

just been through my notes but cant find the part number i just went into parts depart and asked for the pins they came with a 5/10cm tail of wire that i then soldered together to my looms. Much easier then crimping the pins.

Realoem might list them but I jsut asked you shoudl be fine

Does anyone know if BMW offer a retrofit camera for the F30?
Spoke to my local dealer and they said no - but I read multiple threads on here where people were quoted by BMW..?

Some dealers havent got a clue , some do. Barons in Ashvale in Surrey know as did it on friends F34. Most techs only know how to remove and put bits on so its outside their comfort zone and dealers dont want the risk even though there is official guides from BMW how to do this. Best option use a local retroffiter few on here and facebook

Thanks for the response, oddly the dealer in question lists it for my 5 Series (F10) but said they cannot do it for the F30.

As its just a few weeks old I can't say I particularly want someone outside of BMW pulling it half to pieces, plus the convenience and trust of my local dealer make the whole thing a lot easier to sort. I have found a list of some part numbers for the bits, but I wonder if there is a number for a complete retrofit kit I am missing.

Thanks for that - the numbers I gave them they said were not applicable to 07/17 onward cars, so I will show them this and see if they can do anything.
It might be they no longer offer the retrofit for newer F30s..

Yes, the dealer is right.
There is no more retrofit set for cars from 07/2017 upwards.
But somewhere i read the only difference is that the FEM ecu has to be replaced.
it should also be possible to retrofit the ICAM from another series and then the FEM doesn't need to be replaced.

Hello guys,

I really need your help.

Today I managed to install my front PDC with success (first time when I tried to code the retrofit, my dash was full of errors). But after a few tries, everyting was ok.

My second project was mounting oem backup camera. All good until I reached the part where I need to connect the wires (red, white and shield) to the head unit (CIC unit) . My problem is that all the pins are allready connected (a bunch of black cables connects to pins where backup module should be).

What should I do? Just tap that wires and connect to them?

I hope I explained well. Thank you in advance.

Errors after coding are absolutely normal.

For the 3 wires did you choose the right pins?
For the CIC headunit you have to connect...

Red wire Pin 18
White wire Pin 28
Shiel wire Pin 27

Thank you for your reply.

My problem is that I don't have any free pins to connect to. My CIC connector is allready full with cables.

It's a bunch of black wires that are connected to all ports from 17 to 40. I can't tell where that cables goes because it'a hard to track them under dash.

I will try to post a picture when I will go home.

The previous owner retrofited Apline sound system and maybe that pins are used by thst system.

And your CIC is a Navi Professional with 8,8" screen?

Hello again. I managed to connect my backup camera (there was another connector under the dash) but now I have a bigger problem.

I've tested the camera, everything was ok. But after 15 minutes my car won't start anymore. It says that the key isn't present. Maybe I did something wrong in esys?

Can somebody help me?
