Heating
Hello. I have a bmw f30 320i 2014 (RHD). It recently started to heat up when it's at high revs or I'm at speeds above 100km/h. The coolant level is normal and usually has no error. The car does not heat up when it is stopped or at low speeds.Hello. I have a bmw f30 320i 2014 (RHD). It recently started to heat up when it's at high revs or I'm at speeds above 100km/h.
The coolant level is normal and usually has no error. The car does not heat up when it is stopped or at low speeds. Is it a fuse problem? Thermostat or even the pump? How can I identify? |

Yes maybe the thermostat isn't opening fully anymore so that the coolant can't pump enough through the engine to cool it. I don't know this engine specifically but I'd try that first.
You could also idle the car with the coolant cap off and see if coolant is returning back to the tank as that would suggest if the pump is or is not working. |
