Correct. There is no valve on this exhaust. There is a mount on the exhaust for the factory valve motor, so it will continue to operate and not throw a code.

No I doubt it. The bulge in the photos, just after the v band connection to downpipes is most likely to be a flex joint.

So the no CEL guarantee applies to only the axle back? Their website made it seem the axle back with the midpipe wouldn't throw a CEL

Midpipe won't throw a CEL. The cat and O2 sensor are in the downpipe.

Mike is completely correct. The cat is in your down pipe. The mid pipe is just a resonator

AWE Tuning exhaust install time! AWE Tuning has been in the exhaust market for many years but now offer fitment for BMW. For my F30 335I I ordered the dual 102mm diamond black touring exhaust with the performance mid pipe.

Is the exhaust a full 3 inch from the DP connection to the tips? Its 3 inch in/out of the muffler to the 102mm tips? Also what's the deal with the factory exhaust valve you just mount it on the muffler and leave it in the open above the pipe?

Yes it's a complete 3" exhaust from your downpipe to the tips. The OEM exhaust valve just sits above the rear muffler on a mount. It has no use on this exhaust. The reason they did this is for the car to think that it's still there still allowing the valve to operate. That way you are not throwing a code by just Un hooking it.
