I wouldn't try a PU bush for the LCA, regardless of SuperPro or PowerFlex.

There's a reason why SuperPro are developing LCA and UCA full replacement kits (not just bush replacements, but full arm replacements).

Just like their E series' kit.

I would love a performance full LCA replacement that doesn’t cause caster or axle issues. It sound like nothing is currently available...

So in the meantime my options are limited to replacing LCA with new OEM or pressing in PU bushings. I’m wondering what people would suggest here.

Lemforder LCA and UCA.

BP has already provided part numbers for these in the past.

only if you're xdrive. Get camber plates if you're xdrive to do get more camber.

bushings are not 100% safe to install on xdrive.

The Turner thrust arm w/ monoball is said to bring life to the steering. If camber is your goal, Apparently there's also an OEM camber correction hub for the f30 which gives .5 degree neg camber by tilting the wheel. Doesn't come with the nvh like camber plates are known to bring.

This is on a rwd car, but perhaps the equivalent part is available for xDrive...

SoCalCarGuy - no offense taken. My opinion is that ANY monoball set-up is bette than stock one wants to improve handling!

My Meyle HD tension struts are on their way from england. I also bought SoCal's kmac camber bushings.
In order not to sidetrack this thread any further, I'll make a new thread in the future to review them.

@Eschmacher - nice! Those were a CRAZY steal of a price. Looking forward to your review. I will post your thread to mine so they cross-link. Hard to find solid info/reviews sometimes on this stuff.

Those with monoballs or the M3/M4 tension struts, can you comment on tramlining at all? Once of the huge issues I have on stock TS is that because my front wheels are so wide and sticky, they like to follow road imperfections. When I read up on the E90 forums, it seemed like a lot of people found relief from that with the E92 M3 tension struts.

Could be a toe adjustment on your alignment.

That was another thought. I had it aligned in the spring and the front toe-in was within factory spec, but maybe I'd be better off with close to 0.

No tramline or wandering issues with my 435i with the Turner Monoball. I'm running 225/45-18 Bridgestone 007 tires. Pretty big tread blocks and deep grooves. And that's with springs and the monoball without an alignment.

I don't tramline with mine. I'm running -0.1 front toe with -1.5ish camber with a 245/40/18 tire up front.

I have 255 fronts on stock LCA/TS w/ 80k miles.

I have very slight tramlining on more aggressive road patterns.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm hoping with the stiffer bushings and an alignment that the tramlining goes away.

Does anyone know if the Turner thrust arm Monoball upgrade is compatible with XDRIVE? Their page only lists RWD F3x.

I’m also wondering what other solutions are there for increasing steering response/precision/feel? Other type bushings?

Best bang for the buck improvement will be the tension strut monoball. I have poly bushings in my LCA as well but I don't think those made nearly as much difference as the monoball in the tension strut.

Based on my look at Percy's I believe they should be compatible with xDrive arms if they include two "short" spacers instead of one short, one long per arm. Of course nobody's tested/tried this to my knowledge, but I'm reasonably confident it'd work.

Is that the same thing as the thrust arm Monoball from Turner Motorsport? I’m fairly cllueless when it comes to suspension.

What’s the best place to get that from and I wonder if it will work with XDrive?

Yes, he's referring to a monoball (like Turner's) in the thrust arm.

BMW officially calls the front control arm the tension strut. People colloquially refer to it as the thrust arm. Andino has the KMAC monoball like I do.

Thanks.

I’m going to reach out to Turner and see what they say about fitment with XDrive. I’m also working with a very knowledgeable performance shop so might have to see what they say as well about those extra spacers that might be needed for XDrive. I don’t think they’ve installed one on XDrive yet.
