Ok, I'll play.

Also I work in logistics. Large companies have fedex leaving/arriving around the clock. While smaller trucks might not be moving, the larger trailers and distribution centers certainly are.

Also you can argue with me all you want on the fedex tracking number. Solutions that many businesses use, such as clippership, worldship, or even fedex ship manager will create tracking immediately. They are on the website in about 15 minutes.

Wow.

And there's no law that says that all customers have to be treated the same. Trust me on this one.

I can't believed you contacted the dealer for this, get over it since you didn't get the deal you wanted. Everyone in the forum had the same opportunity as you do and you hesitated to pull the trigger it's your fault for not placing order.

Next year we'll all keep a very close eye on this dealership I'm sure. Or on the forum for that matter. Shame that I'm on this fucking forum all week when I'm bored at work, and Thanksgiving weekend is when I didn't even think of it. Thanks OP

I think this story shows again how much markup there is on BMW parts. I would not be surprised if the total markup for any given part is around 75%.

Thinking the same thing myself. Oh well. Beats the usual 10% off that I get at the local Stealer.

Actually I just did some reading on parts markups, and apparently a typical BMW stealership has between 100% and 2000% markup (!!!) on parts compared to what they pay BMW for them. So my conclusion is that this 50% deal is legit due to the enormous markup on parts and that the stealership still made money, believe it or not. I just wish there was more of these deals out there.

I know someone that was selling MB truck parts and one day MB said only stealerships can sell parts now. The guy instantly went out of business and is bankrupt now. For manufacturers it's important to protect their retail network so they can keep the prices high. Parts is where all the money's at..

I laugh at the guys I see on forums that feel bad about not giving the stealer's their "fair profit" above invoice on new cars. LOL

Wrong. On M Performance parts, there is bit of margin if sold at MSRP. However, dealers which are sponsors of this forum sell parts at pretty damn close to cost either through their site or on their eBay stores every day, non-promo. Even then, it's only at a 30-35% off MSRP. There is not a single M Performance part they can sell at 50% off MSRP and make a penny. For the pricier items, such as MPE for the F8x, they will be taking a significant loss.

The coupon code was obviously intended for the worthless pens, sunglasses, and hats for first-time BMW owners who think it's a big deal to finally have a BMW. If they honor the orders placed before they caught on, then great. But some of you act like you've never bought something via the internets before and think retailers have never made a pricing mistake online...

Actually I bought a pair of "worthless" sunglasses. At half the retail they are worth it. As if going to a sporting goods store and buying overpriced Oakley, Maui Jim or the like is a better option?

No. I don't have the cost sheet on hand but cost of certain items which I remember for the F32 were $945 for the carbon fiber lip, $124 for the 6MT shift knob, $370 for the rear diffuser. For the M4, dealer cost on MPE is $3,605 while MSRP is $4,400.

Tell me what retarded car dealer would send parts at a loss after a listing mistake... Looks like some members have been charged today already so I don't see where that's a mistake.

If you have any inside knowledge on what exactly the dealers are paying for parts, then share. If not then........ those are just your opinions.

I'm the wrong person to ask. I'm over 17 years-old so I don't wear Oakley or Maui Jim (whatever that is). And I certainly don't shop for sunglasses at sporting goods stores.

Looks like BMW sunglasses were perfect for you.
