Coding Mirrors

So I got a mate to code a few things for me through bimmercode as he already had the gear. Tried coding mirrors to fold on fob lock press but no joy. I have been threads on here with people claiming that it is possible to code this feature without having comfort access.

Anyone else have experience or knowledge on this?

My mirrors fold when I lock the car and I do NOT have comfort access.
Single press, mirrors fold, alarm bleeps and thats that.

You have to change a few settings from memory. It's not just one config that needs changing.

Yeah I did believe it was possible, would you able to provide some more details on how to accomplish this?

Exactly this. It's definitely possible but as Chris said, it's a few settings, not just one.

From what I remember there's a setting with a number of seconds that takes to fold the mirrors. This needs to be set to 0 which means: fold in immediately.

There's a spreadsheet somewhere on the forum with the list of codes including those which are required for mirrors as well.

Yes it's possible as I've done it. You need to set comfort closing delay to either no delay to always fold them or (as I've done) to 0.5 seconds so that you have the choice.

Is there a how to code my BMW for idiots. I mean real numtpties, proper full on numpties. Step by step. Buy this part no plug in here press this.
Everything I have seen so far assume some basics and your already into the system, which appears quite advanced to me.
I was like this too but believe me Bimmercode is really easy to use. If I can anyone can.

I used Bimmercode to do this. Can't remember the setting name but it was along the lines of changing the delay from 2.5 seconds to 0.

Automatic folding mirrors...

So as you guys have mentioned it is possibled to code the mirrors to fold with out comfort access I now have a enet cable for coding but have never coded before, so am quite nervous as this is also my first new car so don't want to break something hahah

anyways I have found what needs to be set in the coding for ours cars

BimmerCode app

Once in Front Electronic Module section
1) Comfort closing delay (choose No delay)
2) Comfort closing with key fob (choose Active)
3) Comfort opening delay (choose 2.5 secs)
4) Comfort opening with key fob (choose Active)

E-sys

FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB aktiv
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB aktiv
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA aktiv
FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv
FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv

+ If you want to decrease initiation delay

FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN werte = 00 (Instant no delay)
or
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN werte = 0F (1.5 sec delay)
or
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN werte = 19 (2.5 sec delay)

Correct, It's not an option over here. Probably illegal under some EU law

Also in Bimmercode there is "Fold mirrors when locking vehicle with comfort closing" which should be Active.

However, as your original post says that even a long press doesn't fold the mirrors I'm wondering if it's because you have the convertible?

you could be right there mate.. but strange how that works...

check this out: https://www.advanced-incar.co.uk/pro...f-open-module/

Apparently this module allows mirrors to be folded with key and roof to also be opened...

Ya this isn't an option in a 2015 either. I think the only way to achieve this is my coding?

Same, i just changed the time down to .5, so it's a slightly longer hold to bring mirrors in. The standard press is a normal lock.
