Think of this, BMW does not offer the MPPK and MPE as separate options on the new B58 engine (340i), but only together as an M Performance Power and Sound Kit. In other words, you have to get both as a MPPSK kit. So the MPPK is incomplete without the MPE! What is really nice is the MPE is not too loud to irritate the neighbors, but loud enough to put a smile on your face and not have any drone commonly associated with some other aftermarket exhaust systems. However, the MPE is only about a 6 HP gain, (very minimal), this is just for sound.

I concur that the mpe, and intake will enhance the mppk. I really want to get ceramic coating too. I work close to the ocean and although I have partly covered parking, the salt air and dust always keeps me busy with detailing.

Glad to see another Hawaii member on here and glad to hear they probably installed the MPPK correctly. I asked about it a few times (couple years ago) and just got confused looks. Had to explain what the MPPK was to the service advisors. needless to say, it did not give me much confidence in their abilities.

Did you ever get the mppk installed? Reid at the parts department is great, and, Rick was my SA. I was told by Team BMW Hawaii that Jonah is a great SA.

I chose the ceramic coating. Got the G techniq ceramic coating. The shine is unbelievable and so much easier to clean. Everything just washes off with a power wash

Since the date above has you car impressed you further? Is MPPK worth it?

Stack a RaceChip on top of the MPPK if you REALLY want to feel a difference!

The MPPK is worth the money IMHO. The car power curve continues to climb above 5,500 RPM, the 45-70 MPH power jump is very noticeable. I believe that the BMW 3.0L engine was originally programmed as MPPK and the base engine is a de-tuned MPPK engine for the masses. (just a thought).

The power of the N54 with the EWG (Electronic waste gate) jumps more than 10% although it feels more than that due to the range the power hits. If you get it, after your second tankfull, you will jump on the gas and go "Whoa"

Can't be any worse than BMW of Manhattan.... And if it makes you feel better, they are owned by BMW. I came back 4 times before my car was properly flashed, exhaust properly installed and no rattling.

I think that's just the labor cost.

Otherwise I'm going to be really pissed at how much I paid for my MPPSK + Carbon Fiber Tips + Labor.

I did a double take too. I think he's referring to the MPPK as opposed to the MPPSK for the 340/440. I just got the MPPSK installed yesterday on my 340 (insert permanent smile while driving) and it was a lot more than that, so not to worry.

My dealer here in Milwaukee agreed to price match getbmwparts.com for just the MPPK($1400) and is asking $400 for install(2hrs of labor), initially they were asking $1690 for MPPK and $700 for install(broad day-light robbery)

I see you live in Brooklyn, I was living in Astoria before moving here little over a year ago, didn't have a car over there, just the good old(sometimes disgusting) NYC subway

What a relief....

Enjoy it, I got mine installed after engine break-in back in 2017 and to this day it puts a smile on my face. If you’ve got AWD, enjoy smoking everyone else on a regular basis. Especially M4s from a dig

Has anyone dyno'd their car with the MPPK? Just wondering if there is an actual increase in horsepower and/or just fine tuning the timing and shift points.

TIA

There is an actual increase in horsepower resulting from higher boost.

That is for the MPPSK sounds about right. The MPPK raises the horsepower only to about stock 340i levels so the increase in power might not be as noticeable as on the 340.
