335d Finished, for now!
Had it in the body shop last few days for the full dm autoteile m performance replica kit to be fitted, very happy with how the car looks now. Had the spoiler and splitter winglets painted MG and the rest left Matt Black. Also, as my rear lights had a crack in them and getting full of condensation and water I fitted the Black Line lci rear clusters. I know some aren't a fan, but I really like the way they look on MG, they were also quite a bit cheaper than buying new normal lci units so winner!
Only thing left to do now is fit my 704m's but need to get them covered in Gtechniq C5 first! Last edited by SkyJawa; 06-02-2018 at 01:56 PM.. |

Looking very good, I must say I really like those rear lights!

On any other colour, I don't think these lights look right at all, but they just 'work' with MG.
Will look lovely once the 704s are on

Are you doing anything with the ride height?

I like the lights. they go well with MG. I was tempted to get these for my car but had them tinted instead

Appreciate your reasons for changing out the M140i, so probably no point fiddling with something you're happy with!

I've done miles in this and had no issues so I'm really reluctant to touch it as it would be an expensive mistake to put the springs on just to take them off again and I'm sure no-one wants to loan me a car to do a 300 mile round trip in to find out before I took the plunge!! On the plus side theres less chance of doing damage to the splitter |

I just brought the same kit as you and it's in the body shop now being painted, on leave next week so hoping to fit it myself by the end of next week.
Liking the lights mate, I know you are happy with the ride height but the ACS springs are great and only improves the suspension with adaptive IMHO. |

I've had ACS on for a week now and its transformed the car! The added bonus for me was getting the spacers. I just love the way the car looks and sits. harvs43 Looking forward to seeing your car with the kit on mate

Nice motor and is probably very similar to what I'm looking for. MG is definitely the best colour. I think your alloys (403 I think) suit the car very well and I probably prefer them to 704's.
My train of thought at the moment is why have a 330d when you can have a 335d. The ride height is also a positive factor as I despise sitting low to the road. |

Looks great, but then I would say that too
Ive done the exhaust tips too, nice subtle mod. echo what others have said about springs, its strange, some people have issues with scraping - I never have. I’ve went same as you with the painted winglets ion MG, but recently had rest painted gloss black and love it. If leaving Matt then some of the sealants (G technique) just add a nice sheen to it if your interested.. Cheers Rob

Jlr banned so won't see it but thanks to TodmordenLad I've now done the dark chrome exhaust trims.
Replaced by 440i ones, they are a bit bigger so look much better! And they fit just fine Last edited by SkyJawa; 06-01-2018 at 01:59 PM.. |
