A bit late but didn't forget...

https://mega.nz/#!oxw1mA7A!sytyI_4S0...Yh4fnw35KKfqmI

There are also newer psdzdata full but that's not important.

Awesome. Many thanks!

Once installed, shall I try to flash the ecu again or just try the cafd detect?

Hi pal. So I went through the process and flashed the rdc ecu as per your instructions. It said successful.

I used 3.27.1 of esys but the istep options were greyed out. The same for esys 3.28.1.

I had to use esys 3.33.4 outside of launcher premium which allowed me to create the necessary files. I then switched back to esys 3.28.1 to finalise the flash process.

Anyway I cannot use esys 3.28.1 to detect cafd as the option is greyed out. So I used esys 3.33.4 and the option is available. When click on 'detect cafd', I get the same error I reported earlier.

Please help! What am I doing wrong?

OK, I will soon have no more ideas.
But try the following.
Connect your car as F25 and then try "detect caf for swe".
If that works please do nothing further. I will then tell you how to proceed.

Hi pal. Tried that also. Got the same error message.

Am I better off getting a new rdc module? If so, would the latest rdc module work? I found on realoem that module 36106881433 superseeds 227. Should this then work with 227 tpms?

I know that the 6856227 definitely works together with the 6876227 as I had retrofit it as well.
A new control unit would probably work right away, but that's not cheap.
Maybe we can try one more.
You send me your FA / VO and the SVT_IST file and I can try out a few things on my computer.

Mate you are a complete superstar!!!

Fixed my issue with my retrofit.

Hey all, if anyone tells you that you cannot inject a CAFD file into the RDC ecu, well they dont know what they are talking about.

My friend here just did that for me and now I have a 2nd hand RDC ecu working in my F31 2013.

After reading all the pages, I'm afraid I have to ask one thing prior to the other things:

I have 528i F10 LCI manufactured on 04/2014, does it mean my car has TPMS antenna incorporated within the DSC? FYI, mine came with FTMS and would love to see TPMS embedded on my F10 LCI.

If so, all I have to do is purchase wheel sensors + some coding, is that right?

Thanks

===================

Edit:

Okay according to other forums, F10 needs an RDC control unit placed on the rear bumper.
I already listed all the mandatory parts (thanks to RealOEM) on eBay.

Now I have to ask about the wiring:

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...trol3/EDN6yk6i

The diagram says cable #2 should be connected to rear fuse box, cable #4 for grounding purpose, and #1 & #3 to CAN low and high respectively. How do I exactly do the wiring for #1 and #3? Where is the position of CAN low and high where I can connect the cable to?

Thanks

==================================

Edit #2

Because I don't have reverse camera or power backdoor options, I think there are no CAN bus cable around the trunk. It means I have to pull #1 and #3 cables through the rear seat and connect it to the nearest CAN bus available. Hope I'm wrong

Regarding the coding, bit confused for some parts. Correct me if I'm wrong, so for the coding parts, I merely need to VO code 2VB through E-sys, check RDC's CAFD and select "Detect for SWE", select the latest number, and that's all? Or do I have to code for the other things?

You can tap the 2 can wires whereever you want and you're sure that these are the right can wires.
Here you see some possibilities:
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...tem/1VnYGPQJdw
All these ecus have the 2 can wires you need.

You open the insulation of the cable and just connect the wires with the same colors from the RDC.
It would be best to solder or with wire connectors.

If you're ready with the installation you have to insert the 2VB into your VO and code the RDC like you described.
But then you also have to code the ecus HU_NBT (or similar), Kombi and ICM.

Hi, thanks for your reply!

According to the diagram, the nearest one is from rear air conditioning, however I'm not so sure where can I find the wires.

This guy from bimmerfest retrofitted automatic trunk lid and he could found 2 CAN wires on the rear passenger seat area (https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/at...1&d=1439337828), I assumed it was there because he have reverse camera installed. Looks like I have to pay a visit to a local workshop

So for coding, please tell me whether those are correct or not for F10 LCI:
Code:
#Fire up E-Sys

#VO Coding
Code 2VB into VO

#RDC
1. Make sure RDC is listed
2. Click "Detect CAF for SWE"
3. Select corresponding CAFD
4. Done

For below parts, I took it from https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/showpost.php?p=20518744&postcount=27 with slight adjustments

#ICMQL
IcmKod_B_S2VBA = verbaut

#DSC
C_Funktion_RDCi_l = nicht_aktiv
C_Funktion_RPA_e = nicht_aktiv
C_RPA_Extra = nicht_aktiv

#HU_NBT
RDC = aktiv
RDC_DRUCK_TEMP = druck_und_temperatur
RDC_FORTSCHRITTSANZEIGE = nicht_aktiv
REIFENUEBERWACHUNG_RDC_RPA = rdc
RPA = nicht_aktiv

#KOMBI
ST_TYR_RDC_ALIVE = aktiv
ST_TYR_RDC_TIMEOUT = aktiv
KOMBI DSC_MIT_RPA = ohne_RPA

For this purpose, can I use PSZdata lite instead of full version? I read somewhere you may use full version if only you're about to flash your ECU with ISTA-P. For coding with E-sys and diagnostics with ISTA-D/Rheingold, PSZdata lite is already sufficient, is that correct?

Thanks

You also can search for a K-CAN connection at X155*1V like this guy.
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...55-2v/Bx3FuHaU

The codings are not complete and a little too complicated.
Edit your VO, insert the 2VB and save it.
Here is a description of how to change the VO AND write it into the car:
https://blog.uobdii.com/bmw-vo-codin...nd-enet-cable/

After that...

#RDC
1. Make sure RDC is listed
2. Mark the RDC ecu and Click "Detect CAF for SWE"
3. Select corresponding CAFD or the newest with the highest numbers or just the bottom one
4. Done
5. Mark the RDC ecu and click the button "Code"

Mark the ICM and click the button "Code"
Mark the Kombi and click the button "Code"
Mark the HU_NBT and click the button "Code"
Mark the DSC and click the button "Code"

That's it

You only need the psdzdata Lite for this.

I'll try to find the cable around that area.

Many thanks for the explanation, so all I need is click "code" and I don't have to change item by item from nich_aktiv to aktiv and vice versa?

I never thought it'd be that simple

I'll keep you updated with the progress, all corresponding parts are still on its way and I expect some significant delay due to the Corona outbreak.

Again, thank you for your help!

Yes, that's VO coding.
The program automatically knows where to set the right values at which place.
A small problem is that all previous codings (single items) will be deleted.

My car is a 2015 320i Lci. With a mk100 esc pump.

I have also tested all 4 sensors with a tpms tester and all sensors are working fine.
some updates regarding my tpms-

i repurchased another new set and i am still getting the same errors

been searching around for a solution and i stumbled upon this TSB

apparently my fbd3 antenna(located at the rear parcel shelf) could be defective.

could this be the reason ? i always assumed that the antenna for RDCi is located within the dsc mk100.

should i replace the module? or try a third set of tpms sensors.

I have never heard that it worked so easily for someone simply by installing and coding the sensors. I think it's a little bit more complicated. I would look at the remote control Module (part number) to see if it is the right one to receive the Signal from the tire pressure sensors.
