Any one got a part number for the trim under the light switch with the cubby hole ? Or a link to eBay ? Or one for sale ? Has any one retro fitted this ? Thanks

Appears to be part number 2 here, and may also need parts 3 & 4

But you won't fit sunglasses in there!

I dont have this, I take it that its part of a pack.

Is it something that can be retrofitted?

I have that same useful cubby hole as part of extended storage (I think) and keep 2 pairs of glasses in their cases, side by side in there. Don't think I could live it without it...you can't have too many holes, too put things in, in my opinion!

Not sure how you would retro fit it though. Surely you would have to butcher the lower dash?

Blimey, I guess I have a wide face....

Actually, come to think of it when I had the F30 my sunglasses were in a big Oakley case. Now my X5 has a cubby in the roof for sunglasses (and the one by the switch is smaller).

Carry on.

Friend of mine did this in his F30 as he forgot to tick the storage pack, you need to cut that hole out which is fairly scary for me to think of as if you mess it up, you are buggered

Saying that aviators do fold pretty flat so maybe that's how they fit...

Eeek not sure I would want to cut a hole that big in my dash, presume it's marked out on the back if you can get to it?

The Oakley case doesn't fit in the driver side storage bin but I keep them in the pouch provided.

Big miss on my 3 Series as I had one on the 5 series I had, sorely missed, even when I nearly knee-capped myself by leaving it open once.

This was the only reason I ordered the storage pack! Only noticed the other day, I have seatback storage nets too - only had the car 15 months!

Yes I've got lane assist and extended storage but lost this cubbyhole which is massively disappointing.

ACC, FCW or LCW all go there instead of cubby I think. Ordered Extended Storage for it then lost it due to ACC, wasn't impressed to lose it for a tiny button, stupid thinking BMW.

Same here. I've seen a member on here retrofit it with the ACC button but with how he had to cut into the dash I'm not too keen on trying it myself.

Here's installing the cubby itself, without the ACC buttons etc: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...light=retrofit (LHD vehicles but I assume it'll be pretty much the same for RHD)

Edit: just found the post including keeping the ACC/FCW/LCW buttons (and a wireless charger) http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=901534

I've just ordered the parts to do the mod, about £44 plus delivery. Will take some pictures when I do the dash cut-out and will report back once it's fitted
