Road Map Europe West Next 2020-2 Out Now

It looks like the auto-update of the GB-IE map stops after 3 years. Can anyone confirm this?
My car's original version is 2017-1 and it seems to have stopped now at 2019-4
Another car started with 2017-2 and has now stopped at 2020-1.

Yes. You can check in your ConnectedDrive account.

checked on bmw connected site (i have map updates still) and only showing 2019-4 latest for me

From what I've seen in my 2 cars, it seems BMW stop map-updating exactly 3 years after registration, unless you pay to extend it. Was your car registered in the 1st quarter of 2017?

True you could apply a charger and leave ignition on to transfer update, leaving ignition on for 40 mins i would not recommend.

If your battery isn't knackered then I don't see the problem.

Is this for all nav versions? BMW website only shows 2020-1 for ROUTE nav, but google shows others selling 2020-2

no only for some. my nav evo is only 2020-1.

I went on today to check for an update through the BMW download manager and it downloaded Europe West Route 2020-2.

through BMW it only shows 2019-4 as you say, you can download the 2020-1 and update most likely if you still have active map updates (or get FSC code if you don't).

I've updated my EVO to 2020-1 not through BMW (had active map subscription)

Where did you get the files from? As per a few users above, BMW Download manager gives Evo 2019-4 as the latest for my car (which is already on it).

Mine was registered in Sept 17 (67 Plate) but map updates have now run out . Contacted BMW and they told me it is because the car was manufactured in late 2016.

Mine was registered in Nov 2016 but I have USB update entitlement for EUROPE ROUTE maps until June 2020
