2019 440i availability

I'm on my 6th BMW tho only 1....a 2012 E88 did I order as I'm not terribly picky on color/interior

Speaking to my local long time dealer about ordering a specific 440i M-sport vert, I come to find that production ended 02/19 without any info on 2020. this seemed to be the theme for many models.

I don't remember them ending production so early in the calendar year and wasn't able to get any tangible info on the 2020 440i. There are some out there if I'm willing to drive such as Maryland....Virginia and I think Atlanta.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

There is this sticky thread:

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1573965

I was told there are no 2019 build allotments left in the US although there are about 500 built 440s for 2019 awaiting shipment, in transit or already at dealers. My dealer said 4 series builds resume in April for 2020 models. The BMW configurator for 2019 is still active, but no longer accepts Individual orders.

2020 is the last model year of the current generation 4 series. It will be the same car, it will be in production until summer 2020 (long model year). However you might get lucky as it is the last model year bmw often bundles in more standard equipment and options into packages.

Fall 2020 you will see an all new design 4 series arrive and that will have a softtop.
