Better deal: Target %age off MSRP or $X below invoice?
Coming up to the end of lease period. Interested in another one for a 4 GC lease:
How are you guys placing a deal in the "good", "excellent" category. It used to be $ X below invoice, over the past few years, though it seems like higher MSRP vehicles have higher margins to some extent. More and more I see % off MSRP as a data point for decision. Enlighten me as my data is 3 years old since the last lease.

You should fight for 15% discount before the incentives. You have $2500 for loyalty. Another $500 if you have BMW CCA membership. Another $1000 if you have participated to a Ultimate Driving Event recently. $1000 for recent grad.
Look for a 2019 lease. There is $5250 lease incentive for 6 cyl and $4750 for 4 cylinder.

To my knowledge, employee discount is 15% off MSRP at the dealerships. I think anything around there is good deal. If you are looking to buy a car, i would suggest going on a quarter end. 3/31, 6/30, 9/30, 12/31. I bought my wife's Audi Q3 with 38.9k MSRP for 35k OTD with 5 year 50k miles service plan. Should called 34k cause they accepted 35k without hesitation. This on was 9/30/2016 and bought a 2017 model that they didnt even do PDI on. They had sales people buying cars cause they didnt meet their quota by few cars for the bonus.
