You get one map for free on purchase. $50 nets you the other 4 maps. Two Stage 1 Maps (91 and 93 OCT) and three Stage 2 Maps (91, 91 AGG, and 93)

Ultimately, the OTS maps are cool, but the custom editor is the best IMO>
what are the burbles like on a n20? Can you send a sound clip?

For those of you who have used the flash tuning method, has anyone actually plugged in a charger to do it? I don't have one and was wondering if it was necessary.

I used a lipo battery starter plugged in. Better to be safe than sorry.

Hey man. I've posted a long one before, but the maps are getting reworked as we speak. Once they get dropped (Hoping the next day or two, but this week at the latest), I'll flash and provide an updated video for you all.

I've flashed my car 10+ and have never used a charger. If you're that paranoid, start your car and keep it running till you have everything setup. Once you're ready, shut off the car and turn it back on (Do not start the car), then flash. Flashing the first time takes 5 minutes or less I believe and after that, just a few minutes.

Ensure you follow the steps. Have the seatbelt plugged in, car door open or closed, and do not open or close it or change anything while flashing. A/C off and headlights off also help.

Noob question but how are you able to flash via iOS? I ordered an ENET cable but will I even need it? Is an adapter required (Ethernet to lightning) similar to bimmergeeks and the OTG adapter? I’m on an EWG N55. FBO waiting to be installed.

I’m going to pull the trigger on this next week. Thanks all.

You can, but you need to either buy a Wifi device from them or build one. Setup runs ENet to Device to phone/tablet via hotspot or USB.

I ended up buying the flash yesterday and flashing OTS stg 1 93 octane today. Feels awesome, can’t wait for fbo and stage 2. Is there a post that shows power by map for OTS maps?

I don't think there is yet. They just finished pushing the OTS maps this past week, so after some fine tuning, people should be hitting the dyno. If I can find a good deal around here, I'll get one in before I get the custom one flashed.

No, it doesn't flash long enough to use a battery charger (this isn't MHD with their 20 minute unlocks and 4 minute flashes. ) BM3 takes 4 minutes to unlock and around 50 seconds to flash your maps. If you want to be very safe (something like winter where the cold kills the battery faster) you can attach a charger to it but I never used one as the flashes are so quick.

Stage 2 was dyno'd between 385-395whp on 93 oct FBO depending on car (each car makes different power.)

Are there any N20 maps offered that are set up specifically for 1/4 mile runs? I sometimes drag my car for fun at the local track and would love a map to help me get even better times.

The N20 is already pretty good for a drag race. I mean, stock torque peaks at 1250 RPM due to the small turbo. The Stage 1 or Stage 2 OTS maps will easily help your times. I'm actually going out to a 1/8th track tonight for racing and will let you guys know. I finally got stickier tires, so this RWD should stay under 9 lol.

allen841231 is running AA, but should be able to give you an idea of what stage 2 tunes run for the 320i.

few questions:

1.
Are the OTS maps editable ? For example i get the stage 2 and get a tuner to tweak to get the most out of my hardware?

2.
Do we know if more N20 maps are in development? interested in E30 blend / race gas map

3.
Are custom maps created within the BM3 platform by a tuner of choice able to be sold to other users (copied basically) ?

No. See my response in the other thread. A tuner can, however, take your stock readout and tweak it from there.

Yes, I can confirm that at least E30 maps are. Unsure of race gas atm. The main tuner is swamped with refining the OTS maps across all platforms, so gotta be patient for the E30 map lol. Be sure in the meantime you have everything to support it (Mainly LPFP)

I mean, I guess? Like are you saying if Tuner A creates a custom E40 map, can he sell it to multiple customers? If so, then yes. That could be done with any custom tune. While it won't be one for one, because every car is different, he could copy the values to the new car's tables and then make the small tweaks necessary, just like an OTS.

Much, much different. You can get with PTF to clarify the exact differences, but what I've seen mostly is cold start delete, burbles, boost targets, and a slew of other updates. I would assume V7 would be a huge improvement over V1. I'm on V4 for mine and it's night/day over my V1 from November last year
