Misfires and Issues, Need help pls
About two weeks ago I did a Full Throttle pull while logging MHD. After the pull, the car began to misfire badly and codes began to appear. While driving home it of course sounded like a tractor and would backfire once or twice extremely loud when coming to a stop or letting off the throttle. The original set of codes are in Code Section 1 + the log from literally a minute or less of this all starting.
I borrowed some n54 working coils to see and it felt better, but not 100% there. Still ran rougher but not as bad as day 1. I began to fear loss of compression on cyl5 so Got a tester from Oreilys and got these numbers 1: 180 2: 175 3: 180 4: 178 5: 180 6: 180 Did a compression test on that running n54 I borrowed the coils from and had the same values, just to make sure gauge was reading correct. After that I figure it was coils/plugs so I bought all 6 of each and replaced them today. Still having the issues and car runs in that "better" state but a lot more codes now, still in the same field of what I was with before. These codes are in Section 2 + two logs from idle today and little throttle blips. Listening to the injectors with a screwdriver they all sound to be firing but cylinder 5 is less "clicky" in sound. Not sure if that is because of the DME code saying it shut it off or what (weirdly the plug from cyl 5 will have fuel on it even with that code). It smells very fuel-ly when running today but after a couple start ups, the smoke stopped coming out the exhuast. Please if any tips or where to look I will greatly appreciate it. 2013 F30 335i 93k~ miles FBO STG2+ XHP Section 1: Original Codes after misfire started DataZap Log: https://datazap.me/u/71percent/53120...og=0&data=3-18 Codes from Day 1 of issue 6/1/2022 12:54:04 AM - DME active codes - 102A01 - Hot film air mass meter, signal: Electrical fault. 108001 - Intake air temperature sensor, electrical: Short circuit to B+. 108010 - Intake air temperaturč sensor, electrical: Signal not plausible. 140001 - Combustion misfires, several cylinders: Fuel injection is switched off. 140010 - Combustion misfires, several cylinders: detected. 140501 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 5: Fuel injection is switched off. 140510 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 5: detected. 1C4002 - Engine oil level: Too low. - ME shadow (inactive) codes 108932 unknown 135704 - Valvetronic system: Warning threshold value, feedback control deviation exceeded. 140011 - Misfire: Fuel injection deactivation. 1FB501 - Check Control message (ID 27): Engine oil level! I'd like to say you may have a badly leaking injector but those electrical problems give me pause. I would have those addressed by an expert before moving forward. Check around the engine bay for damaged wiring.
