How do you see how many orders you have done... Or are you all just actually counting them?

On a web browser (rather than the app) click 'Your Account' from the bar at the top, then 'Your Orders' and by default it will show you 'xx orders placed in the last 6 months'. The '6 months' is a drop down box, so you can select 2018, 2017...

Just checked mine, didn't even realise I was using it that far back. It doesn't show what I bought from 1999-2006 but from 2007-2013 it was all books, DVDs and CDs then after that it was a free-for-all.

1999 - 1
2000 - 0
2001 - 2
2002 - 5
2003 - 3
2004 - 2
2005 - 0
2006 - 0
2007 - 4
2008 - 5
2009 - 23
2010 - 11
2011 - 11
2012 - 18
2013 - 11
2014 - 15
2015 - 25
2016 - 20
2017 - 27
2018 - 125*

Looking back over the years, inspired by strike4A

2004 - 2
2005 - 1
2006 - 1
2007 - 0
2008 - 2
2009 - 0
2010 - 9
2011 - 48
2012 - 34
2013 - 25
2014 - 25
2015 - 25
2016 - 20
2017 - 47
2018 - 41

Most orders are multiple items, especially prior to getting prime in 2017. Early very low usage, then Amazon came into its own in 2011, austerity budget (girlfriend/fiancé/wife) from 2012 on led to very consistent purchasing!

I do use Amazon for convenience don't get me wrong, but I've noticed, especially over the last 12 months or so that amazon is often not the cheapest place to buy, by quite some margin in many cases. I'm sure you used to be able to click with impunity knowing it would close enough on price not to worry. Now, not so much and it's always worth checking with other retailers who can also deliver as required.
Has anyone else noticed this upwards pricing trend (to cover the near loss making Prime delivery perhaps?)

I needed a new catcher bag for my Stihl petrol leaf sucker/blower and the Amazon price was £39.99.

I bought direct from World of Power for £34 delivered. I added the bag to the basket then left the website - a few hours later I received an email offering 5% discount so bought it then .

Yes, I've noticed this more and more. Always research first...
