FWIW - you can install the front lip on car, but you are going to need two people and about 4 hours to do it halfway right. And you'll do an easy half of the work under the car that way. There's a bit of drilling to do so you can use a rivet or nut/bolt method of mounting the lip. DO NOT use the self-taping screw approach because, as soon as you hit something, the lip WILL rip right off.

My advice, pull the front nose cone off the car. It's about a one hour job. Once off, you can take your time mounting the lip, drill without being on your back, and tighten nuts/bolts or position rivets without being constrained in a tight working space.

Every lip is going to be a little different. Just depends on what the material is made out of, how flexible it is, etc.

I recently installed a carbon fiber M performance style front lip on my F30. Not sure if this is helpful for you, but I did an install video on my YouTube channel.

I also have an E92 M3 as a weekend car. When I installed that carbon fiber lip, I removed the front bumper completely, to ensure proper fitment. The shape of that lip was a little harder to work with, so removing the bumper was easier in that case. With my F30, the M Performance lip can hang on to the bumper and lay there free standing, so that made things a little easier.

Good luck!

If you will track this car, do NOT install the lip in the manner of this video. This is may be OK for everyday driving.

According to your pics - no amount of heat (or any other method) is gonna close that 1/2" gap - problem is the spoiler has poor fitment directly from the mfg.

My F30 is my daily. Definitely not tracking this.
If I was, I would be using bolts and nuts, and a lot more tape

I'd have to agree with that statement. I would return that if you can and buy something different. If you MUST put it on, you could fill in the gaps with some white caulk (Alex Plus from Lowe's/HD) lol kind of ghetto but since the car is white, it might not look too terrible

I wont be tracking but seems like it just had really poor fitment from the manufacturer. GG.

Liquid Nails is a construction adhesive. Thats a bit too strong haha. You want it to be strong enough to hold but not be so strong that its messy and difficult to remove.

If you're really going to do it, I would use Alex Plus White Caulk w/ Silicone

I actually did that on my Alpine White M3 because I didnt want water to get through very slight gaps on my diffuser. Works like a charm.

I suggest watching the Kies Motorsports YouTube videos. Bryan must have installed a front lip and made a video.
