F36 Removed from BMWUSA.com

Just as the title states, the 2020 GC has been removed from the website both as a model and in the build section. Does this mean no GC until the G26 debuts next year? No 2021 model year for the GC? I had noticed over the past several months the inventory of GCs drop lower than both coupe and convertible 4ers. Any info?

With G22 production starting it doesn't surprise me the F36 is no longer available. All of the production has been moved to G2X. They can't keep building the previous generation.

I am a little surprised we've not seen a G26 reveal yet. From what I understand the F36 sold really well. Around here the F36's easily outnumber the F32's by a large margin.

I'm not surprised that the coupe is the first to hit the showrooms. It sold best in 2014, with sales falling off each year after that. The GC was the other way around, with sales growing stronger year after year. That tells me that early model year buyers tend to be the enthusiasts who want the latest and greatest, while more conservative buyers take more of a wait and see attitude, holding on to their existing cars much longer. Knowing that trend BMW wouldn't want to bring out the GC first to have them sit on the lot for a year before they start to move.
