What no sliding cover for the middle tray in the rear seats?
Why does this thing look so bland? To me it looks like 2 door sedan rather than a Coupe. E92 was a step forward for BMW coupes. This is a step back. The B in BMW now stands for Boring! Bland! |

I am sorry this is disappointing. I know its not modded etc but even the boring pictures of the e92 was something with wow factor and this simply is not. I am not someone who caves and thinks each new car looks better than the last with time. The new 5 series is still an eyesore to me. Its plain. Not ugly but overly plain.
The e60 was a car many did not like to be it had a wow factor. Looked like NOTHING else on the road and it looked aggressive and modern and unique. I still look at this and like them (I owned one) and thiknk they look better than the F10 which has been out like 5 years now or something. Same with the e92. Always thought it looked awesome and still does. Still think the e90 looks as good as the f30 but to me the e92 always be great looking and I love my m3 and always will. I still love the e46 m3 and always will. I am pretty confidentn I will not be buying an M4. I actually think the new f30 looks much better than the f32 and in M form I can envision owning an m3. |

ASS engages when the foot is on the break and the car is stationary (e.g. red light stop) or when you put the car in park and let it idle for a while. It's hard not to realize that your engine is in "ready" when you're stopped at the red light but it's very easy to forget that the car is in "ready" and not "off" when you put in in park and let it sit idle. It will switch into "ready" and stay in "ready" until you put it back in drive or if its been sitting in "ready" for too long. Its very easy to forget whether the engine is really off when its in "P". Very useful feature.

This is beautiful.
It's like Tanzanite Blue, but less sparkly and more consistent. And more turquoise. Wonder if this will go for F30 sedan LCI, or individual... |

I am sure this is a fast and fun to drive car, but it just looks sooooo plain and cheap. I am really trying hard to convince myself to this car based on the pictures, but to me the aging A5 still looks better. I didn't expect anything from the interior since its just a copy/paste of the 3 series but I was hoping the body might be sexier (kinda like the 6). Instead it has the insignificant feel of the C Class coupe, which always looked to me like an afterthought of a design altogether. Judging by the pictures this 4 series is just lacking the road presence. It will blend in nicely with Civic and Accord coupes...just another plain coupe, but with a roundel this time.
I hope seeing it in real life will prove me wrong.

I think its bland/lacking presence is due to the super boring color and bad wheel design that do nothing for the car. IMO black and blue never look right together... if you took this identical blue and threw it on a luxury line with the chrome accents and a lighter/saddle interior it would look like a completely different car. It seems like the 4 relies on the right color combo/options to make itself look more upscale/aggressive.

Agree. I've seen several F10 M5s and it was really hard to distinguish them from the regular 5 series, unlike the E60 where the M was easily distinguishable vs the non-M, controversial styling notwithstanding.
Have not been that impressed with the F30s I've seen thus far, but for the first time I saw the M-sport version in IB in real life and it looked really amazing. I think it bodes well for the F80 M3 in the looks dept. F82 has been nothing short of a disappointment from what has come out so far and doesn't look very special at all (and I think much worse vs the concept). BMW is playing it very safe/conservative these days, which I guess sells cars to more people (including women especially) a la formula Audi, but unfortunately the every house has the same BMWs and Audis...in effect "Stepford Garages". I really don't know why Chris Bangle got so much heat for his tenure at BMW, at least he was willing to take risk and create differentiated products. Quote:

Meh...
I have a 335is that is one year into a three year lease. I was looking forward to an f32 but I like mine so much more than this. I know this isn't an M Sport but it just doesn't seem inspiring. I hope they evolve things a little more on this with some packages in the next couple years or I may have to start considering a different choice. By the way, I frown upon "BMW never gets anything right" posters on this site" but I'm just not feeling the f32.
