washer jet adjustment

Hi all

I'm either searching wrong name or something. My passenger washer jet is spraying too low and not getting whole windscreen. Anyone know how to adjust it?

Unless there's an adjuster under the bonnet (very few cars have one), just stick a pin in the nozzle and pull up gently.

Adjustment is mentioned here, but doesn't say what it adjusts exactly. Worth a look. Just keep track of the amount of turns and direction so you can always reverse what you've done.

Thanks guys. Pin was obvious choice, but also seen that screw to turn, but unless I'm reading it wrong, it says left to right. I need up and down.

No, it says adjust the left or the right washer jet.

Are you sure it’s adjustment and not low pressure?

Very common for the washer fluid bottle to get gummed up which reduces pressure. This can appear to spray low.

I think I've sorted it. The screw changes the angle of the jet, therefore the spray hits more of the window now.

That's good. As I said, some cars have an adjuster but I wasn't sure about specific models. Maybe they're more common than I thought.
