Extended Storage F31 retrofit

The previous owner didn't spec my F31 with extended storage

I don't care about the nets on the back of the front seats or the storage compartment on the drivers side however I do wish I had a few more v12 sockets and the adaptive fixing system in the boot.

Is the adaptive fixing system something you can easily retrofit providing you can find the right parts? Has anyone done it before?

Anyone who currently has it, how useful do you find it? and would you prefer just a net instead of the bar?

Would love the adaptive fixing system too so interested to see how this unfolds!

Are you referring to the cargo net points in the floor and walls?

They aren't in my F36 but if you lift the floor up you can feel the points where you can drill through the floor and attach the cargo net points - its a bit daunting sawing holes in your floor though - not mustered up the courage yet!

Not the net but the below.

Interesting to know that you can feel the points though, so the below might be possible as well.

Ahhh yeah, that looks to be the same points as the net.

On my F36 I can lift the boot floor and can feel the indentation in the floor where the cargo points would actually attach.

Oh nice! I'm going to do some digging in my boot tomorrow and see if the parts posted above have potential to fit.

Was in my local BMW dealer today and found a touring with the adaptive system so had a play but I'm now unsure about it. It's not exactly the easiest thing to get out quickly and it restricted the underfloor storage which I use a lot. Didn't really think about it restricting the underfloor storage before seeing it in action, might just opt for a net which is easier to detach.

Took some photos which I can attach if anyone is interesting but it seems like a lot more work than what its worth. Looks like you need to change 3 of the panels to get the points where it attaches.
