drivetrain malfunction 2014 328i - Stock
Yesterday, on a 200 mile drive to Chicago, my 2014 328i M Sport went into limp mode while passing a car on the freeway.
I got a check engine light and drivetrain malfunction, now it drives like a Harley. I do not have factory warranty but not sure what to do. Will take it in to the dealer and see what they say, but I am not expecting much or just a rather large bill. This is the 3rd time this has happened, first 2 times I just restarted the car and everything was back to normal. This time i did the same, put the car into sleep mode, let it sit over night and still nothing. FYI no tunes or mods except for MPE. I've been running Shell V Power 93 Octane and still. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions, this is my first (and possibly last) BMW and already having major issues on a relatively new car with less than 12k miles. |

Left it at the dealer earlier in the morning. Received a call about an hour ago telling me they want $199.95 to diagnose it. Should I just take it to AutoZone to have the code read? or is BMW specific that the dealer needs to do?
Also contemplating taking it to a shop that has a higher end diagnostic capabilities than AutoZone. |

Just make sure your mechanic knows how to code the injector

Hey hey it seems that it gets too common these days for injector 3 to get broken!
I post the same experience with my drive few weeks ago on Maintenance part of this forum. |
