Dash stopped working

As the title says my dash has stopped working.
No gauges, speedo, display of any sort.
No HUD either.
Indicators, lights, radio etc are still working.
Just wondering if this is a common problem or if anyone knows more about it?
Car had been sitting for a couple of weeks and not used much over past couple of months.
Car gas done 41kmilesand warranty was up in April with no mention of any extended warranty from BMW so as it stands I have no warranty of any type on the car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Has the car been coded/modded or is it standard?

My sisters 118 did the same thing, it was a loose plug above the pedals,

Tried turning it off and on a few times.
Checked all of the fuses.
Took it out today, stopped at a set of lights and it all came back to life.
Seems like it could be a loose plug as I could hear an electrical buzzing after it came back on as though it were a loose connection.
I'll get a look for a plug up above the pedals when I'm back home.
Thanks for the help
