Hey thanks man. Can I ask what cabling you used as I feel mine might come up short?
thanks
My retrofit cable did end up coming short. I had to run to a local hardware store to match the gauge and extend it.

The trim I removed was the back inside rear tailgate trim, and the side inside tailgate trim and d pillar trims to route the wires.

Hi David,

Could I pick your brains about coding for inner indicators to fire?

And cables to power the internal fires right and left towards the box next to the battery

[CODING]

The coding of new fires is not required, since there is no error on the idrive but against there will flicker flashing at each startup

If like me you do not want flickering lights here is the mod has to do with the E-sys software

Does anyone know if a F34 (GT) rear light LCI retrofit is as easy replacement as this? Or does something more change?

Hello. Please help me everyone. Please. I wore a black tail of M Performance the other day. However, the coding of the VO coding did not go well and the inside blinker does not light up. I asked you to refer to your comments. There is a manual coding method described in the question and answer, but can this be handled by this method? Please give me guidance.

Or try to wire-tap your inner blinker to your outer blinker?
Best and easiest way..

Look it up on youtube.

No power on pins 5 and 13

Hi,

I have done the retrofit and did the coding as explained here, but I don't get power in the modules which are located on the trunk lid. The side modules work well.

I reckon that pins 5 and 13 don't get power, so my question is "how do I code it so that REM gives power to these pins"? I would like to stay away from splicing and stuff.

Thanks

Downloading a staggering 47GB of the full pszdata file, then I'll update the module.

Thanks for the tip, never did on update of an entire module before. Just hope it doesn't explode and veer off into space when I start it

I just installed the Euro LED LCI tail lights on my US spec F30. Install went great until I tried to install the 2 inner blinker wires into the 13B connector. I couldn't get the pins to slide in and seat fully. After fiddling with them for a while I just gave up and tested everything. All works as expected, just missing the inner blinkers. I also noticed the pins are taken on the alternate connection options (12B and 14B connectors). I'm guessing you have to splice/tap those wires rather than code the REM if you go that route?

I have a laptop configured to do coding and would rather not splice wires if I don't have to. Any tips on how to seat those pins into the 13B connector? They go about half way in, but won't click in place.

The pins should be free though? Are you sure you are looking for the right pins.

Reminder: each connector has 2 sides. In front and in the back.

If you follow the procedure of the BMW document

Here is the coding to do

Just add to the HO-wort (HELD) and code REM

If after adding HELC and REM code does not work
It is necessary to modify as indicated

I have the 2 extra wires from the inner blinkers that have the tiny little pins connected. When I unplug the 13B connector, slide out the black holder and pop it apart I can see where all the pins go (should have seen me scratching my head how one side it had like 1-10, then on the other side 20-30 or something before I realized it popped down the middle and had more pin slots inside). I tried inserting the pins to where the arrow on the pin faces down and out towards the front. The same way the other pins on the actual tail light connectors were. With those you could just push the arrow on the pin and it slid out easily then slid back in and clicked in place after re-ordering them correctly per the BMW docs.

I am not sure why these 2 new wires with pins I'm adding from the inner blinkers won't fully slide into the 13B connector and click. Very frustrating. They physically seem to fit and will slide about 50% into place then they won't budge. Just for good measure I even tried flipping them to what seems backwards to me, but still no go. It's literally below 0 degrees F today so I am not going to look at it until it warms up in a few days now. I want to check and make sure the pins are crimped on alright and not slightly warped/bent maybe.

Just wanted to follow up. My euro LCI LED retrofit is complete. No splicing was required.

I managed to resolve my wire/pin install issues. I did some testing by removing and reinserting some factory pins in the 13B connector and those worked fine. It was just the new pins for the inner blinkers that wouldn't set in properly. Turns out it was the wires outer coating being a bit too thick to allow the pin to fully seat. I just pinched the crimp a bit more with pliers and finally they would seat correctly. So even though I had bought the OEM connectors, the crimp job was not 100% ready to be plugged into the 13B connector.

Thanks david51 for the coding help. I was able to add HELC and code it to the REM, but it still didn't activate the inner blinkers. I manually followed all those codes and FDL coded it and they work as expected. Also coded out the bulb checks mentioned in the first post. I left the reverse bulb checks in though because those appear to not be LED on my tails.

Hi can somebody help me i tried fdl coding however how do you do 100% in MAPPING_BRAKEFORCE_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 / 100%? Same as the right [IMG][/IMG]

Also the BFD_L_CCm / ccm_blinker_l (same as the right) my only option is this ccm_bfd_l when i tried to edit it. My inner tail light is still not working

I dont get any errors in my cluster but when i scan it i get an error code encode rem

I saw my ista+ has a conversion but im not sure how to go about it because it seems it will code a lot of things and not just the rem
