I've just installed an ID6 NBT Evo, with touch screen and ZBE4 into my 2016 F31. The car was previously running ID4 evo with a 3G ATM.

The new NBT unit is in and working, last step is to flash the NBT, ZBE & ATM to the same i-step as the rest of the car. I'm getting an error when flashing - I think linked to the fact the software on the retrofitted modules isn't the same version as esys is expecting. How can I determine the i-setp of the retrofitted ecus? (stupidly didn't get this info!).

Question 1 - is the i-step mismatch the issue here? How do I get what level the NBT & ZBE are at?
Question 2 - Have I screwed up reading the FA, looks like the car still thinks there's a ZBE3 there?!

Some quick research suggests this might be the issue - shawnsheridan - does this seem likely?

"This "SVK-Ist does not match expected SGBMIDs for ecu..." means you have chosen an improper I-Step Shipment when you made your SVT Target (SVT_soll). Either the ECU is factory original, and you just chose the wrong I-Step Shipment, or the the ECU is non factory original, so it came with a different I-Step Shipment then your car's actual I-Step Shipment, and you have no way of knowing what the right I-Step Shipment is for it.

So, redo flash, but this time after you calculate SVT Target (SVT_soll), check the box that says "HW-IDs from SVTactual" and then Save it.

If it still does not work, the only thing you can do is try different I-Step Shipment dates until hopefully one works. This is simply Trial and Error. When you have the correct I-Step shipment, the HWEL in SVT Target will be Black (not Red or Blue)."

You will need change time criteria to 0718 and istep shipment would be than F20-18-07-500. Run tal calculation and see if hwel is black. If it is not black then correct your fa with missing SA option. Don’t push button HW-IDs from SVTactual if you doesn't know what you are doing.

Thanks, resolved this morning after changing the I-step to the correct levels for the ZBE4 & NBT - ATM also re-flashed and all working.
