F36 Radiator lower air duct plastic piece
Yesterday I noticed a plastic piece hanging behind the lower mesh of my msport bumper (infront of the lower radiator). Looks like its some sort of Air Duct?
Basically the middle piece had broken from the one side so I ripped it off and pulled it out. I think I identified the part as BMW Engine Air Duct 51747290609 / 51747290609, here's a picture from eBay listing. the bottom middle part of the plastic had broken off because its only held on my a few plastic points to the rest of the plastic? Anyone know what this middle piece's function is? is it a crucial piece that serves important function? Will the car live without it? will post more pics of the car later

To maintain airflow into the intercooler. If that piece is not there air would go all over the place around the intercooler and reduce cooling efficiency and increase drag.
