Dinan Intercooler
Talk about a beast of an intercooler. Wasn't too bad to install, but I did feel bad about cutting the brake ducts and bellypan. The only other mod I currently have is a Dinan sport tune (now turned to 4psi).

Definitely looks the part. Try running some logs if you can and see how well it actually performs.

Review? Change the way your car drives?
I have a dinan sport and notice a huge difference in how the car pulls with cooler weather. Makes me want to jump for an intercooler.. |

From my experience with an FMIC, you only notice it's there after back to back pulls. The first pull will feel the same with the intercooler as it did without, but the 3rd pull will feel weaker without the intercooler as opposed to with. I don't have the Dinan obviously, but I think that's a fairly generalizable statement across all FMICs.

I don't know if it is due to me reading about it (placebo effect) but the boost does seem to come on sooner. I believe there is a 25% less pressure drop across this IC vs the factory. So in other words, you would make 25% more psi for a given RPM

What program did you use to gather that info?

Torque Pro. I also let the car sit in 90 degree heat for about 20 mins. Temps pre intercooler were in the 122 range, and post intercooler were about 145. After driving less than 5 mins at 20-30mph (stop and go city), post temps were in the 120ish range.

Great and thanks for the info.
Seems like an aftermarket intercooler could really help my car, even though i only have a dinan sport. Savannah summers are HOT....and my car feels soooo much slower when its 90+ degrees out. |

Absolutely. An FMIC is a worthy upgrade even for a stock car, and even moreso for a tuned car.
