I'm a bit undecided for the first time when it comes to getting a car as there doesn't seem to be any value on BMWs at the moment.
Is that 8k miles or 8k deposit?

I think the 8 is suffering the same problem as the old 6, they can’t sell them so they end up pushing them at every chance.

Does anyone know if there’s going to be deals on bmw in April?

Carwow vid out today. Frigging mental times for a 320bhp hatchback. 0-60 in 3.94 and 12.28 for the quarter.

Rolling race was much closer indicating the car has around 320bhp. Its also been dyno'd at around this figure too so has no more bhp than it should.

Just VW are lying about the 0-62....

It obliterates the competition here. Incredible really.

As a former M4 owner however I have a huge issue believing that 0-62 time is a stock car. The M4 was crazy fast with 431Hp at launch at it was a 4.1s car.

Does AWD in. FWD car with 110HP less really make that much difference.

Is a stock golf that's about £40k sub four seconds, really? I mean out of the showroom really. I'm pretty surprised. I suspect these press cars are somewhat amped up but that's not form a jealousy point of view (no longer an M135i owner) but it's a crazy figure to be beating now.

I still wish they had made that R400 on the last gen. That looked mega!

In terms of value for money I'm having a hard time thinking of something better.

My only hangup/alternative is the existance of lightly used M140i's, which would be slightly cheap and have the lovely B58. Would be slower 0-60 as well.

Not sure if you’ve seen this but the R virtually keeps up with an AMG A45s. And this white car is not a press car, it belongs to someone who knows AH.

I think VW have a very sorted drivetrain with rear torque vectoring etc.... it has been dyno’d at around 320bhp.

8k miles, the payment profile is as I put 1+47 so 470 in 470 a month, you'd have to be mental to put in 8k into a lease

I thought one of these deals might have your name on it:

Watched that today around 2/10th slower than the current RS4/A45s it does look like a mighty machine for the money.

There was a new model Golf parked in my estate today. Gave it a glance, as you do, to check the model and was astonished to see the R badge in the grille. Very toned down (not necessarily a bad thing).

Always more interested in the space adjacent which has been harbouring an E61 M5 tourer for the last few weeks, which replaced the guy's driveway Alpina E30. The M5 appears to have gone already in favour of a JDM Galant estate of the 4wd/4ws variety.

Just a shame that the person charged with exhaust pipe design didn’t get the memo!

The G generation BMW's are better than their f counterparts by a mile and better than many of their current competitors. Looks aside once you drive them you'll know as I have found out recently across the 3 series 5 series and x5 ranges. Sorry for the off topic post.
