N26 bm3 flash

Has anyone flashed their car with bootmod3 on a 2016 328i with the n26 engine? It isn't listed on their website for the tune so I don't want to risk screwing up the timing and destroying my engine.

I'm running bm3 stage 1 on my 2016 428i N26. Definitely adds some oomph to the car, add in xHP stage 2 transmission flash and the car is pretty fun.

The 2016 N26 has a bunch of fixes to the N2x engine series, like the timing chain upgrades for example. I'm never gonna go past stage 1 personally because I plan on driving the car for a long time (84k miles now) but I'd recommend bm3, as it really wakes this i4 up.

I had BM3 stage 1 on my N26 for approximately 50k miles without any issues whatsoever (45-95k miles). Also had a downpipe, intercooler, diverter and hard piping for the record.

Run the highest octane "Top Tier Fuel" in your area and you'll be fine.

Thanks guys. I'm just waiting on ptf to give me the all good for my model tomorrow then I'll buy my license! Looking forward to the extra power and burbles. These engines are very impressive for what they are. Any noticeable difference between the stage 1 91 or 93 octane? Debating whether it's worth going for 93 as I'd have to fill up with 94 because I don't have access to 93 around me.

I've got a 2016 328i with an N26. Have been running BM3 stage 1 for almost a year with zero issues. The differences between the N26 and N20 don't affect the tune.

I'm running BM3 Stage 2 93 on Petro Canada Ultra 94 in the GTA and have had no issues on my 2016 N26. PTF always tells me the Octane levels are great when I ask them to review my datalogs. As others have mentioned the N20 map works with the N26 and PTF doesn't differentiate between the two.

Since it's been pretty cold here in Ontario the last couple weeks make sure your battery is fully charged before flashing. Just having a trickle charger plugged in may not be enough if your battery has been discharging due to the weather.

Enjoy

As mentioned, you are good to flash your car. Enjoy
