Hello everyone and thanks for all of your previous threads, I find it very usefull and it helps me a lot in many questions.

Meanwhile one more topic I was unable to find anywhere and it's about small gps speaker that is connected externally.

I know many of users just removes it as useless but I believe it's a nice option to have if you operate with OEM Radio and Android navi.

So the question is, when headunit is operating in Android mode this small gps speaker works in very low volume mode together with car multimedia (which is normall and designed like that, I think).

When I change headunit mode from Android to OEM Radio this small gps speaker sometimes works louder together with OEM Radio (as it should be), but sometimes not and just stay same volume level as in Android mode.

So I am curious if I can switch this small gps speaker to "loud mode" manually once I switch to OEM radio. Hope it explains well

I recently installed an android 11 screen in my BMW F10.
I bought this one on Aliexpress (https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/10050...yAdapt=glo2fra).
My question is: is it possible to change the image of the Car Drive menu?
On the seller's announcement there was displayed an image of BMW series 5 but I have on the screen that I received an image of BMW series 1.
I would therefore like to put an image of BMW 5 series so that it is consistent with my car model.
Is this possible?

It is possible but requires pulling both the launcher and the framework from your unit via ADB, decompiling the launcher, examining of the graphic assets, preparing new ones, compiling an overlay app with asset structure and target package name identical to the stock launcher and then installing it as a system app.

I think the new AUX/usb module will not solve your issue.

Firstly, ask your installer to check the quad locks, unplug and plug carefully again pressing additionally making sure all pins are connected.
Secondly, avoid the armrest AUX socket, this is a weak link. If you don't have the android sound right away without running the audio extension cable to the armrest, then code the oem system headunit to have the AUX active there.

Also I have bad experience with that ground loop isolator (GLI), it definitely cuts the sound frequency. Avoid it as well.

I had HUNDREDS of this android HUs installations in BMWs behind and never used that GLI.

No we don't. The reason for that is most sellers offer both genuine stuff and fakes so you really have to pay attention to what you're getting.

Switched to using the unit as a phone essentially as recommended and using my phone as a wifi hotspot with tasker. I then bluetooth to the oem bmw Idrive and calls are flawless again. This seems to be the best solution yet

This will filter the static noise and rpm based noise.

With the USB Solution i had same problems (cutting sound for a splitsecond every 60-90seconds) but with the DAC into this Ground loop isolator into the harness aux jack it works perfect.

I installed the new aux port in the armrest today, but it made no difference.
Still very weak sound on the left side. I realized the sound fluctuates as I turn the steering wheel, really weird!
However, when I installed the ground loop isolator, the issue completely vanished!!! As pointed out, this device seems to have the adverse effect of cutting the frequency a little bit - highs seem to take a small hit.
However, with the Fiio and equalizer settings, sound is great.
Btw - do any of you know an Equalizer app that will start automatically? I tried several, and I have to activate the app every time for it to take effect.

Another positive, the GPS seems to have sorted itself out after a 2-hour drive. Not sure how this works - on a phone you have instant gps.
I still have this FAKRA antenna and taking the car to the installer tomorrow for the front camera fix - wonder if I should ask him to plug it in if it's stronger than the standard Android antenna.

Thanks for the heads up. I won't bother then, fingers crossed signal will stay strong.

Not really. It should pick up immediately but we've seen countless glitches with GPS signal so this might be one of them.

The reason is that some factory settings, like the speedometer (260/280), drive side extra do not change when I modify them. Is there any suggestion how to change them ? Like a hard reset or something?

Most of the new GUI`s at these headunits only support one Speed Setup at the dashboard, so basicly the Speed selection is useless nowadays, you can't change it.

I would even say kind of a downgrade on A11 i cant permanently turn on immersive mode for the taskbar where on A10 it worked fine. If i could choose again i would prefer the A10...
