I have pixel and motorola phone. Both doesn’t have screen mirroring, i thought i can use case to the idrive, but I can’t.

So how do i screen mirroring an android phone?

Mirroring requires coding.
To use it while driving you'll need Video in Motion as well.

I am not sure if my phone is not capable since i own a pixel 2 xl. At least 4 years old.

When i click mirroring on the idrive, it turn on the wifi and ask my phone to find this wifi and connect, but my phone can not find this wifi under cast option.

I suspect the phone is not capable.

Yes. I found out by googling further that the idrive supports miracast screen mirroring but google phone (pixel lineup) doesn’t support miracast since google wants to sell their chromecast.

Talking about standardization on android. Even a small thing like this is different across different android platform.

I am just going to sell my pixel phone and buy something else.

Samsung phones will stream natively I'm fairly sure.
