I'm surprised how every one has already forgotten how to get the FSC lifetime code to update the NAV system free via USB. I done this while back already with huge success. Download the correct road map for your car through torrent, pull the NBT file from your car via E-SYS, ENET from OBD. Open the file in FSC code generator and get the life time update code. Use it when you update the NAV through USB. Just one huge warning when you do this, make sure you have the original nav system certificate key when you do it because if you screw up, your nav will be permanently locked out and you'll have to spend hundreds and hundreds just to get your nav back from the dealer. I was lucky I found my original purchase nav key in my folder, coz I did screw up the first time I tried, got it finally updated 2 weeks later. This is what you should see:

If you screw up the fsc code if you wait a few hours with the car off the nav resets itself, well it did for me.
