Cool [F36] Why does my boot sometimes only unlatch and not open?

When trying to open the boot remotely (either by the key fob or the button in the cockpit), most of the time the boot only "clicks" and unlatches, but doesn't open.
If I pull the button on the boot handle it ALWAYS opens, so the actual boot opening/closing mechanism is fine and does work flawlessly.
But why does it only sometimes work when I try the key fob button or the cockpit button? It doesn't seem to matter whether I press the button or press and hold the button (for any period of time it seems).

Thanks for any advice!

Example of it working from the handle, but in most cases only unlatching via the key fob :

When you say it always opens, you give it a pull and it opens under it's own power, or you need to manually lift it?

Sorry, should have made that clearer..
It always opens by itself. I literally have to pull the handle with just enough force for the button to click, and the motor kicks in to open it up.
